met him last night is def a grower :) it gets better with every listen i swear. demi shared her story with ariana a few years ago and played her ‘dancing with the devil’ so ariana knew and actually did write the song ‘met him last night’ with demi in mind. when ariana gave the song to demi, at first ariana didnt want to be on the track, she wanted to be “mystery harmony girl,” but demi was like no stay on the track its what the people want

I understand them, I love it now but it had to grow on me. It's a very Ariana song and I didn't expect that from Demi (even though it was written by Ariana) and it took me a while to get used to it.

Anyone was recorded just 4 days before her od, and I have a feeling the "I feel stupid when I sing" lyric is a nod to the fact that she had a song called Sober a month or so before her od that she sang to her old team....and they all just clapped, they never seemed to take the song seriously for what it really was.

her new management that is with scooter braun which she signed a deal with last year or in 2019 scooter gave her 3 actual birthday cakes for her bday last year because of what she went through for most of her life

She signed in 2019. And that made me realise (since she needed to Come clean to Scooter about her relapse) that the relapse on Heroin was in 2019. We know its happened 1 time. But I BET its happened more then once. (personal experience. Addicitive mind Thinking)

I really liked your guy's reactions. Only thing is you gotta remember this is not only about her OD and journey dealing with addiction, it's also about insecurities, eating disorders, her love life, sexuality and recovery. It may appear incohesive at times but remember it's literal years of her life condensed to a few tracks in chronological order.

Love this album, although I’d have to disagree that the topics on the album are random, I think it follows her journey pre and post OD very well, from dancing with the devil, starting over, getting engaged, breaking up, embracing her sexuality and finally ending up in a good place, I think the track list represents that well

Loved the reaction, but I actually like the placement of the songs once we understand that it's following the sequence of moments in her life. She first came in terms with her sexuality, then she had some intense affairs that didn't last but she didn't make a big deal out of them even when it hurt to leave, then she met Max, who was looking for 15 minutes of fame while she was falling in love, her girl friends helped her get out of the heartbreak, but after some time she felt horrible about losing him and things got hard again for a moment. Then, most recently, she found peace about her dad. It makes sense, just isn't obvious.

The album isn’t literally sequential. The first part is, the second is more reflective and pensive. It’s like cause and effect almost. It’s like here’s where I was, here’s how it’s been going.

The album has ups and down cuz it wasn’t meant to be a plain simple... That is why you noticed some songs are upbeat and other songs are slow cuz it was all part of her life. Also it was a way to show her vocals in different range.

LOVE THIS REACTION!!! im only half way through but I love that you guys know everything behind the story, and I LOVEE!!!! that you picked up on how it feels like Here We Go Again vibes!!! it gives me 70s trippy/chill during a sunset vibes, with some HWGA & TMYLM influence, gwen stefani feels on melon cake... Thank you for reacting and being honest! I think there’s so many topics and sounds on this album that there truly is something for everyone. One song someone may not vibe with may be someone else’s favorite. But one thing is for sure, they all represent a point in her life and growth and I think they were all necessary to show that personal journey. The symbolism entwined within this album made it very cohesive for me. Also, if you look at the track listing she speaks about love/how she loves, then heartbreak, then anger over it (carefully, the kind of lover I am, easy, 15 minutes in that order) so I personally think it makes sense. The ups and downs seem purposeful to me because that is her story, it’s a roller coaster. But either way, great reaction!

I absolutely love your reaction to the album, but I just have to say that the part/songs of the album you guys felt was out of place, for me was the part of her life when she met her ex fiance, when she ended her engagement and when she figured out more about her sexually and when she understood she's great on her own right now. She took us through everything that happened in chronological order 😉💕

Demi is one of my favorite celebrities of all time and this album is art! My top three are Easy, Met Him Last Night, and The Way You Don’t Look At Me. I think the roller coaster feel to the middle of the album is purposeful. In my opinion it represents the ups and downs of recovery and is meant to make you feel a little disjointed. Also, with regard to the placement of Easy- I think Carefully all the way through 15 Minutes is a micro journey through Demi’s relationship with their ex fiancé. Maybe that could help you rethink its placement. Great review guys!

I feel like I just found my new best friends, the way ya'll react to this album is literally me talking to myself LOL and god after listening to this album on repeat since it has come out, I don't have a favorite..bc all the songs are literally my favorite, minus 'my girlfriends are my boyfriend.' I think it's just because, like the guy on the left said, I like how she started off the melody but then the chorus was like..cute but not like 'omg this is amazing' you know and then Saweetie's verse is just .. not it for me, like you said it was kind of corny. but anyways love your channel :)

First subber here. So like, I'm glad I came upon your channel Edit: so I don't think it's really a shock based off of what she's been through. Others are going through it now, some worse some not, and then others DON'T make it out miraculously. I'm glad she's back but yeah.. she's Human. She has feelings and honestly to somewhat see that noone really listened to her cry for help despite the excuse of 'she hides things really well' is too common. I've been hiding my feelings for years, still do out of pure habit.. but there have been FLAGS. Now of course it's up to others to act on those flags and sometimes it's way too hard to act myself or even ourselves. All in all... I really hope she's getting better now. Thank GOD she's here and alive still. 🥺❤️💕
