People think that her past defines her as a person, and it doesn't. She is gorgeous, strong, and determined to be even more of an inspiration. If I were to choose a positive role model for any young girl, I would choose Demi. Not because I support anorexia, drug abuse, etc. because I support overcoming these things and the bad times. And I think everyone else should see that.

Jimmy Fallons giddy excited response to the Dear Zachary documentary is incredibly odd to me. Yes it's a great documentary. Yes you should watch it but I certainly wouldn't recommend it the way he did. It is the most gut wrenching, emotionally devastating documentary I've ever seen.
yep ..totally agree. The effect it had on me watching it is hard to convey into words. That's why I tell people to just watch it. I personally did not see the ending coming at all. When the story was unfolding and then finally it was revealed what happened to that baby I completely lost it. I don't understand the Canadian judicial system at all. They are all to blame for what happened to that child.
FUCK. I just watched it (not because of Jimmy, but because of reddit.) By far the saddest thing I've ever seen, or experienced, it's just... horrible, and powerful. I feel ashamed as well as disgusted as a Canadian. I don't want to see that documentary again, I just don't.

Seriously?! There are so many hate comments about Demi. For those calling her fat, she's not fat, she's healthy. She struggled with an eating disorder and I assume hate comments about her weight aren't helpful or supporting. Yes, she's had problems in her past, but she went through treatment, and with a lot personal effort managed to get her life back on track. That, I believe, is something to be admired. Not everyone has the gutts or the will to do that. It's okay is you don't like her personality, or her singing, or her skills as a judge, or her clothes, or whatever. All I'm saying is that it's hard enough to go through some of the things she went through, let alone having the whole world know about it and judging her.
