I'm extremely shocked that people claim that Demi Lovato can't sing without autotune. Although it's a minority that claim this, it's still shocking... People say the same thing about Ariana Grande too. I find it really annoying, especially knowing how talented these two girls are. Demi and Ariana are some of the best female singers we've seen in recent years.

Not everyone sugarcoats their words. Some people are just blunt, they just have that kind of personality. They don't necessarily find anything wrong with what they say cuz if they put themselves in his shoes, they would probably not react much as this comment section that has a lot of aspiring people and preachers in it. I think it's more to do with the fact with whats charted really high, and what hasn't. Taylor is an extremely mainstream artists, an insane amount of fans, and EXTREMELY successful songs. Demi is mainstream, and although she has an amazing voice, she hasn't reached the height of what Taylor has with her records.

It's not auto tune. Auto tune is an old 1990s thing. Auto tune is Kanye West and T-pain. What you're hearing is a compression microphone and then the vocal put through Melodyne which is PITCH CORRECTION. And it's not about correcting her notes because they're off key. It's about correcting in fine detail beginning and endings of words you sing.

Seen better who will never get the recognition she has. She has technical but she screams more than sings. Jasmine Sullivan gives you more in one verse in a song than and entire Demi Lovato video. What people are sold and what people are marketed throughout the history of music are not the best artists or best musicians. Some do break thorough but it is rare.

No auto tune but with voice enhancement and other works, not a raw voice. Perfect mic effect, echo, etc. You just need to learn the breathing techniques to own the stage like her.

The way I heard it was that people work very hard for their dreams, but music, or singing, is what's not for everyone. And even if she meant it the way a lot of you heard it, I think what may have helped to add would be that he could still pursue music but not as the talent but maybe someone who supports the talent, like he had room to grow and pursue the dream differently. However, she was not given the chance to do so cuz the dude dropped right in and tried to throw shade.
