Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez were honored for their philanthropy work by
unite4:good and Variety's unite4:humanity Gala held at Sony Pictures Studios
on February 27, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. Demi received the Young Luminary Award.
She was a little nervous and excited. Yes girls! Demi also told the crowd about celebrating her 21st birthday on a humanitarian trip to Africa. "I was struggling a lot with personal issues," she said.

How is it possible not to love this woman? Demi has been through so much, yet she has stayed humble and grateful for everything she has. She uses her celebrity status and her voice for good and she gives back and helps others who have gone through these same issues. Plus I just love how she can be so classy and mature one minute and the next she's fangirling over Bill Clinton! That's my Demi
