I watched a lot if the covers of this song and tho make it sound and flow better they say eh men listen to it over and you’ll see what I mean it’s cool and your right she did it like a goddess
She could sing baby shark and I'd still get chills. I love her voice. UPDATE: I would also like to mention I have re-edited my comment to her new and current choice of pronouns. For a while there, she was using they/them pronouns and I respected her choices.
they were shown for the same amount of time as Demi in this clip I think they got enough recognition xD. It would be fair then if everyone in the band and sound recording group gets recognition all together
@@jaanvi.directioner bruh, this was before they came out as nb, there is literally no point in correcting someone for something not even demi knew till recently
@@jaanvi.directioner even so, people shouldn't have to go through every comment they have posted in hopes of ensuring sometimes pronouns are corrected to the current ones. Yes, respect towards those pronouns are important, but no one is obligated to go through their entire RU-vid history to make sure they didn't call someone something different. In this situation, you called this person in hopes of feeling better about you. There's nothing wrong with that, it's completely respectable to allow someone to know how someone else feels, and hoping to correct it. However also understand that if this person would have commented a reply, right now, they would likely be respecting the pronouns. What was said, has already been said, it's about what said next. Out of respect of free will and history, don't just expect everyone to go through their comments to make sure it's updated to someone else's liking. Especially when that person may or may not agree with you, I personally don't mind if someone wants me to call them something else, I'll listen to them. But that doesn't mean people who don't agree should be ashamed, or expected to change their beliefs. Although it's not always preferred, we just have to respect it, and stop expecting everyone to bend to what we want them to be
@@jaanvi.directioner ok but again, rather then embrace the comment you came rlly blunt and corrected them over a thing which was made ages ago when demi was still a cis girl
This cover is the best one because you can really her singing her heart out and the soul and the pain, like the lyrics in the song. Most of the other girls I've found just try to sing softly and sadly. It's pretty and pleasing to listen to, but Demi really gripped me out with her growls and riffs and the way she just sang the song...ugh. Perfection. 👌😍
Hoziers version makes me very emotional and really touches me, but damn Demi Lovato can sign beautifully. I always thought she was one of those generic pop artist but i was clearly wrong.
she probably is one of the most emotional pop singers I've ever seen. she pours her heart out in every song, which in my opinion makes her unique from other singers. plus her voice is insane lol.
Do you listen to any music by Kimbra? I think she might be your stlye. Check her live Sing Sing version of songs which are just amazing. My favourites are Two Way Street and Good Intent.
for a long time i have been feeling this thing whenever demi sings and i cannot put a name on it. coming across your comment, i have found that this was it. this is that feeling. the rush. it's more than the chills that most singers give people whenever they do a phenomenal performance. it's just something else entirely.
@@VISHALPANDEY-wk6qx oh honeys, she shaded Taylor 4 years ago. It's just her fans that like to make her seem bad, she literally posted taylors album on her stories saying how good it is. Stop hearing something and believing it, search it yourself.
I didn't think I liked it but then I realised all the hair on my neck and back was standing up with literal chills. Sometimes your body knows what your brain doesn't.
I think it’s the song !! No disrespect to her but Hozier just does it soooo gooood it’s hard for me to love another version. I know this is still very good
@@steamy4042 what the he'll are you talking about? I very much doubt opiate abuse enables someone to knock this song OUT OF THE PARK like she does here👀 No drug can make you sing better...none,not one...Some may make you think you are 😄
it really shouldn't matter what the pronouns are because you're just singing a song someone else wrote. it's not you coming out of the closet, it literally means nothing. but even if it did mean something it wouldn't be news bc we already know demi's bi ❤
Karnchy_Katz “I respect you but you shouldn’t have a month to recognize you as human.” Lol ok. That’s like me saying I respect you, but that thing that you have annually to recognize your birth, yeah that, I don’t think you should have it. I respect you, but I’ll complain about you having a month to recognize you... seems logical.
Komijoyo89 she has an over 4 octave range lmao. And definitely doesn’t use auto tune. pitch corrector maybe, but there isn’t one artist in the industry that doesn’t
Komijoyo89 Thank god someone said that! Lol it's like call me when she can sing like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey or Celine Dion. Oh wait that's not happening. And every single person in this comment section knows it! 😂
Everyones talking about the pronouns i need someone to talk about how at 4:01 she really just sat there and smiled like she didnt whip out that belt as quickly and hard as my momma used to. Bless this woman
This is one of the most dazzling acoustic performances I've ever heard. Demi's vocal is out of this world. Probably one of the most effecient combination of power and emotions. (BTW: see 3:27 such an impressive improvization in the chorus which can be rarely heard)
I like her cover the most amongst the female singers. She's the only one so far I've heard that keeps Hozier's original grittiness (for the lack of a better word)
OMG I LOVE THAT SHE DIDN'T CHANGE THE PRONOUNS!! It always bothers me when the "he" and "she" are changed to hertero-normalize the singer. Demi is an amazing singer, and this just makes me love her even more.
+RachellRaee I sometimes do this, and that's because I want to relate more to the song... Especially if the song really reminds me of a person, then I will change the pronouns to him/her.
Ok. Thanks for the advice! (btw I'm from London and we're really weird about the whole color vs colour debate... I even got a squiggly red line underneath 'color' because my computer is even part of the debate) xD
That's because people don't listen to ALL her songs 😭😭 Stone Cold, Father, Warrior, You Don't Do it for me anymore, Smoke and mirrors, Nightingale, In Case and Lionheart -- all shows how talented she is. 😢
@@comeformee7751 she's sober now and has been for almost a year. Don't jump to conclusions when u don't know the whole story. People have different opinions. And she is a perfect slaying queen
I just saw your comment on another cover video! I hate when people do that...Ellie Goulding didn't change the pronouns either T_T....off topic but when I sing a song I change the pronouns to make it gayyyy
Demi's version of this song, this performance in particular makes me so thankful to God that she's still with us! This amazing young woman possesses one of the most unique voices of this generation. I could listen to her sing the contents of an old phone book.
Hi everybody watching this! I'm a starting singer and I've put MY FIRST MUSIC-VIDEO on youtube!! It would mean a lot if you watch it! xoxo btw: I agree with you! It was!
Demi can give such new meaning and power to so many songs. "Take Me To Church" was already a powerful song... Demi covering it colors it with her own palette that makes it uniquely hers, yet still harkens the depth and meaning of Hozier's rendition.
+Don't Cry No need for them to be ballads though. None of her singles showcase her voice, and that creates certain image of her. Like come on! She can do better than that.
Stone Cold is her most recent single..? How does it not showcase her vocal talent? It doesn't create a certain image either. Numerous celebrities, critics, and the GP have praised Demi's vocals countless times. Her image is definitely not a problem, lol'
+Jane Doe what about skyscraper, dont forget and stone cold? Those were singles and showcased her vocals? And everytime she performs one of her singles she slays so whatever.
@@andricejones3709 you know that's bullshit right? Just because she had a tragic death doesn't mean she suddenly has an extraordinary voice. Technically, demis voice is better.
Even on Demi Lovato's worst day of singing she is still absolutely stellar! She has so much soul in her voice the way she sings really makes you feel the lyrics.
