I feel like Demi captured her fears in this music video. I remember Demi always saying a few years back that she wouldn’t be opposed to Wilmer proposing. I think this video shows what could happened with Wilmer and her if things had played out that way without dealing with the problems they were facing together and separately. With the complexity of a relationship. Things can get in the way sometimes even when you aren’t wanting them to. She said in her documentary that she had some things she needed to sort out with herself which led to her and Wilmer understandably ending things between the them. I believe that Demi and Wilmer are unbelievably connected but when there are things to be worked on sometimes you have to work on them alone and leave the rest to fate. In the video she points to herself in the mirror as she sings “everything I need is standing right in front of me” a lyric that’s stands for where she is now in life.
