What a close and fairly fought battle. Demi Fiend always plays nice. He didn't even use pierce so it took like 2 turns longer to kill everyone. That's called "easy mode"
@@dylancross1039 No it's more based on hubris. Everyone wants to think it's impossibly hard so they have bragging rights. That's why half of the Soulsborne community is insufferable too.
@@TitoMcFadden Demi-Fiend actually IS very difficult though, and is probably one of the most difficult JRPG bosses out there. Depending on your luck, he could just straight wipe your entire team with Mamueoon in the first turn, or bullshit like the video can happen. Going in this match with anything that Resists, Nulls, Drains or Repels prompts him to instantly wipe your team. Beyond that, he hits extremely hard, can't be hit by anything besides two types of attacks, constantly removes buffs and debuffs, and he will wipe your entire team should you take out his demons, so you have to work around that. Beating Demi-Fiend requires genuine skill, knowledge of how he operates, and a good amount of RNG. Or you can just cheese him with Red Star, but considering it's unnecessary to actually fight him in the first place, and was definitely not intended as a viable strategy (Especially with how SMT V immediately removes that possibility in the new battle), that is boring and cheap by definition.
@@TitoMcFadden Preach it dawg. It sucks how brick walls are treated like the pinnacle of combat because everyone does it so they can all be apart of the same club.
@@ReanXAlisaNot only that, but over ninety percent of all Soulsborne fans that preach that language, (WAY over ninety percent) haven't even beaten a single Soulsborne game. Let's be real here. Meanwhile, Baldur's Gate III is completely curb-stomping those games. Also, give Soulsborne fans La-Mulana and they become little sissies.
I just realised... Hito doesn't even have _Pierce_ during this fight; otherwise, his attacks would actually be doing FAR more damage! Lol... they really had to nerf the shit outta him, didn't they..?
DDS Demi-fiend doesn't have Freikugel or Deadly Fury. Freikugel would be kinda ass since it's only single target, and YHVH knows he crits enough even without Deadly Fury.
I thought if you took too to kill any of his party members, he would gaea rage. but that dude sp stalled pixie, made her not be able to use dekunda or mediarahan and since her used sukukaja, arahabaki would waste turns using dekaja. no one could debuff so he already had the whole team at +3 with debilitate. it may take too long but you do only need to deal 18000 damage to him this way, as well as being very consistant. no mamudoon, no debuffs, no gaea rage, no sleep, one wasted turn. It seems this really was breakable.
You actually want to be inflicted with certain status ailments because since most if not all attacks Demi-Fiend and Cu Chulainn can do will inflict a status ailment on you. Some ailments have a higher priority than others so if it is detected you're inflicted with an ailment of a higher priority than what Demi-Fiend could do he won't use certain attack knowing he can't cripple you beyond losing a 100 hp or so. Pretty sure i also heard somewhere that theres a mantra that lets you dodge everything while asleep so if that is true than equip it on who you want to survive the nuke than pray they get slept so that when Demi-Fiend clicks the nuke button you just dodge it an end his turn immediately.
I remember getting party wiped on his opening turn once. Girimekhala did it. With Mamudoon. Despite my party being maxed out in stats and with death resist on everybody. DDS Demi-Fiend doesn't deserve a fair fight. SMT V Demi-Fiend does. In fact, latter deserves recruitment, along with his null all copy and phase 2 Lucifer. That said, next time I do a run of DDS, I'm not even gonna try the stun lock strat again to win. IMMA JUST GONNA GAEA RAGE, UNTIL IT IS DONE. *"intense" cheat engine action (replay)*
With the power of cheats? Yes. Not like i would use him to beat bosses i couldn't beat fairly, in such an occasion. Memory's fuzzy by now, but i belive i instantly got Arahabaki into Dekaja/Dekunda loop (i think he has both, actually) so he wouldn't cast Gate of 7734. ...i dunno about bruteforcing him in DDS1. SMT5, sure, just max out all stats and he'd barely do a 2 digit damage, with you pumping out 4 digits without much of a strat. DDS1... well... he's (prolly) the hardest secret boss in all of JRPGs for a REASON.
@@steam-powereddolphin5449 that was a misunderstanding It STILL wasn't the actual demi fiend tho. It was just a delusion. Serph and his crew were literally dreaming they got into this fight.
@@dorkistantkd6233 that's exactly what I said, even Mido, a Stephen level entity admitted he can't handle raidou. Mid game demi fiend stalemated raidou.
