Thanks guys for your tribute to the late Demis Roussos. I have seen him live THREE times. He just amazed me. He also addressed us in Arabic and sang some iconic Arabic songs for us.He was from Alexandria, Egypt before becoming famous all over Europe and the world.

It would certainly be easy for two young men to ridicule Demis becuase of his size, clothes, and high voice - as many have done. But you have treated this great singer with respect. Well done for choosing something different from most other reviewers. Your comments are intelligent and sensitive. Also, thank you for introducing me to this stunning performance. One of the most beautiful things I have ever heard.

Demis Roussos is an Egyptian Greek singer who still has huge popularity in Greece, France, all over Europe and all over the Middle East. He was born in Alexandria in Egypt, a city full of ethnicities, specially Italian Greek and Armenian. Of Greek origin, he has songs in English, French, Greek, German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic. He was also part of the band Aphrodite's Child. He died in Greece in 2015. He was 68.

He was member of the famous Greek minority of Alexandria, one that goes back to Alexander and the Ptolemies. They were called the Egyptiot Greeks. Now there are very few because they were thrown put by Nasser and their properties confiscated.

I hope one day you react to ( winter rains ) by Demis Roussos who dominated the romantic songs in the seventies with his golden voice and his great love songs such as ( forever and ever , goodbye my love . souvenir , because , far away , shadows . spring summer winter ) and an endless list of everlasting songs
