Just picked this up yesterday and paired it with a period appropriate pair of Polk Audio Monitor Series 5JR speakers and a cd player. Awesome sounding budget set up for sure! I blown away. McCartney's Tug of War album is a go to for system testing and it sounds great!
I have a Yamaha r50 from 1983 paired with my vintage polks monitor 5 b and the synergy is fantastic. For 35 watts this receiver really drives the old polks well. Especially with vinyl. Very warm sounding receiver

Ive got ths exact unit. Love it. It is a monster that can handle my TV, big speakers and go all day. I need to clean it. Suggestions onhow to clean the dust out of it? Also...the big volume knob is a tad lose. Works good but is loose. Any ideas ?
KNow its been a year since you wrote this...been looking on You Tube for this model...funny you should say the volume knob...same thing with me ...it seems to be a prevalant issue...no one has ever explained why it got loose...but it doesnt seem to be a problem
