I had this thought a lot of times that today's Democracy is like Aristocracy, instead of people being gobernated by people it's a bunch of families with enormous amount of money who always elect and re-elect one of his friends and when the friend can't be elected anymore they put a relative and the cycle keeps on giving, very close chance to zero to get elected an every-day guy with minimum salary because that would mean he's not educated enough since he's not succesful and he needs money for the campaign which would be highly suspicious if he has no money but somehow managed the costs of the campaign making him an insidious choice for a government position so that makes millionares the only options for power and not only people who "oh i have a couple of millions in my bank account" no, you need THOSE millionares who have hundreds of millions enough to waste it on the campaign ads, you know the usual, travels, news, panflets, your face stamped on walls and billboards, SO that technically makes politics into a big money battle for which person sounds the most genuine and of course you can trust a person who made millions in the most opportunistic way (sarcasm), so conclusion, big families or people with ungodly amounts of money (and influence) are the only options for political power and most of them will at the end of their time delegate the representation of his campaign to a friend or a relative....... if that doesn't sound as Aristocracy (with the obvious side that at least we have rights) then i don't know man, today's Democracy sounds like Aristocracy with extra steps. What i would support is a Virtual Campaign where educated people IN POLITICS AND ISSUES OF REAL LIFE can be elected, viewed and analyzed based on their programs and opinions on stuff, no need for travels, panflets and obviously NO BILLBOARDS, just the usual interviews and a live-chat-like podcast for people to question those people on real stuff with ID required to make questions because it's an obvious bad idea to give anyone permission to talk without consequence on the internet specially on politics, not saying to be persecuted but at least be on the edge to be accused of harassment if it starts asking stupid and childish questions and it's not like all of these are hard to make, it would reduce the amount of money used BY A LOT but on one hand it would make *some* people feel discriminated just if those people can't deal with technology like your average boomer parent or people without education who would be unable to campaign for politics but i think everyone would agree, leaving a guy get in politics while having no certified knowledge on politics it's a bad idea. That would be ideal.

And if he's too tyrannical, then he is much less likely to get overthrown and it will only end in the nation and people's suffering.
