Renovation projects are either extensive or just a connection for an addition. Full extensive renovation should be done right in the model, but for simple connections to adjacent structures, you can set items in the LINK to be demo.
And you honestly could do this method for the whole renovation, but it would take a lot of coordination. Enjoy.
