Close to collapse was a two-story building leaning over a Detroit sidewalk, and the City of Detroit is promising to take action. City inspectors saw the building Wednesday (March 1) and decided to get it demolished right away. It occurred at the corner of Linwood and Blaine streets, near West Grand Boulevard.

The old neighborhood, Linwood & Gladstone is where i stayed many many years ago, looks deserted every corner had a store or record shop Ronnies corner of Linwood and Gladstone, Rankins corner of Carter and Linwood, Mr.Noble corner of Linwood and Taylor, Mike's corner of Linwood and Hazelwood where Meatland use to be, oh can't forget mother Smith restaurant at the corner of Linwood and Gladstone she also had a small church, her grandson's were the homies in the neighborhood John John, Shawn, and Darnell.

The fact that it’s owned by a llc is laughable because the bill will never be paid. Classic move by suburbanites and out of towner’s; buying property in the city of Detroit and letting it completely ruin.

"LLC out of Sterling Heights." OK, you've identified one of many places that this LLC _isn't_ in. But what about where it IS?

I noticed quite a few factories and large buildings are being demolished. How is this funded. The Packard and Hudson factories demolition costs will be in the multi-million s each.

They haven’t blocked off the sidewalk or put up protective scaffolding to prevent anything for falling on people smh

Why is the DA in the red jacket walking near the building? Why wasn't the sidewalk blocked.months ago.? On the city's foggy radar for months. "Action was taken" Plastic barrels? They will bring down this building? What is the matter with today? Only one side of the sidewalk blocked because the other wall looks "ok" Detroit is a failure in so many ways. The residents accept this.
