I'll be honest, I'm relatively new to these guy, a buddy introduced me to em. Never been very religious, hell I revolted against my mother taking me to church every week by the time I was 12. I don't know too much about them and I know, understand, and recognize how religious everything about their songs is. But this is probably my favorite one so far. The sound and feel strangely makes me feel at home. And this is coming from someone who hasn't 'had faith' r whatever ya wanna call it for over 13 years.
No inception, not a sound Break or fault line in the ground When the devil come Idle hands in quiet peace Waiting for my soul to sleep When the devil come Pure deception painted clean Vacant flesh in lucid dream When the devil come When the devil come Let my spirit breathe When the devil come Lay me at your feet Come to me in shallow waters Hold me underneath When the devil come All my world is painted lust Every need there ever was When the devil come I will fold in seconds flat Throw my heart into the black When the devil come When the devil come Let my spirit breathe When the devil come Lay me at your feet Come to me in shallow waters Hold me underneath When the devil come No inception, not a sound Break or fault line in the ground When the devil come When the devil come Let my spirit breathe When the devil come Lay me at your feet Come to me in shallow waters Hold me underneath When the devil come No inception, not a sound Break or fault line in the ground When the devil come
Just read Ephesians ch. 6 and you're 100 percent right. It fits perfectly. Especially the passage about putting on the whole armor of God and taking up the Sword of the Spirit.
The devil to me hmm can't say I know it yet however thanks Demon Hunter nice music I really love this one and you got it come to me when the devil comes 👍😁
@@broc_ursal Killing Floor 2 songs were mostly from Solid State Records, they're a Christian studio and they agreed fully knowing it would be for a zombie FPS. They're a Christian band.
@@MetalFork420 What wrong with the serial Lucifer? Why wouldn't they play the song there? I'm Christian and I watch the show, because it's that: just a show and has lessons like don't judge a book by its cover and how people can change for the better so I don't see you're point.
Not trying to be combative brother. How much jesus is required to be perfect for some? I dont speak for ryan but I do represent TBR, ryan has said at his concerts and interviews, that they are not a christian band. They a group of Christian's that have a band. They speak for those who have been to the dark and have decided to come out, and they also show us the battle we have in front of us. Brother u speak to a set of people but u cant represent all with the message u were delivered. Please shout ur message let those who can hear, heed the message u have been given. The band has a mission that will help win a war, as do you, as do I, and my neighbors. So to say more jesus may be needed, stop and ask yourself. Is jesus involved and blessed this mission. If the answer is yes, we as mortals must accept that the mission is right and just. For only he knows the entire plan and enacts his will as he sees fit We are just the messengers. Is that enough jesus Cuz that's what I learned from them. sign up and do your part and always understand it's not for us to determine just to follow. See u on the field
I said at the bottom I get the message. I'm an artist myself and I'm not knocking the band at all I've been following them since the first album. I think if u call an album Storm the Gates of Hell that pretty much shows where u are at in the spectrum of spiritual beliefs. I'm just thinking if u are trying to bring a message to the unsaved be as clear as possible. But with all that said I love the band and all that they do.
Being a fan since 2003 and a branded follower, understanding they message and them as people, the message isnt really geared towards the "un believer". Its seems geared more towards the life we live and the challenges we face. Now that is my opinion, the lyrics are geared towards the fight we are in. Hence the slogan War in every breathe Peace only in death. U and I are cut from the same cloth But packaged for a different purpose. As I dont understand the nature of street preaching, I feel it can do alot of harm ( not saying yours is) ie inducing fear inside the lost screaming dammnation with no acceptance. ( just my experiances) were as the people of this cloth show the battle we face and have faced in our actions. We stand and fight against all we are lead to fight against. Including the ones inside our own walls. If your call is the streets then brother I say let the lord be with u at all times. Find the lost sheep and bring them back or for the 1st time. I encourage u to read Ryan's lyrics and understand the calling that I (a former heroin junkie) have been called to do. Some people will never understand the grip hell has on us. I was under an agent of hell for a long time. I know and understand its nature I feel it 1 step behind me every day. If I stand up and fight everyday it will catch up to me. My job is to show the weak that strength comes from the word, and the belief that christ has my freed me of my bonds. But with that freedom comes work not just belif and church attendance, because the day is close And in this world of godlessness the heathens will say Tie this around your neck. Brother walk your path Do your job with every fiber of your being And I know we will see each other on that day.
Although I liked the sound... i felt it dragged on long. It could have been a minute shorter and still taken me through the whole song journey. Just giving feedback to a band i love
@@theberndog It's an honest criticism. I agree that it could have been shortened, but I like the instrumental section and the end. I suspect they did, too, so they kept it in even though it isn't truly necessary to the song.
Funny how you say that, because I have the OPPOSITE criticism of a lot of songs I know. They need the chorus sung one more time and they just cut it short. Or it needs at least one more verse.
@@loveworksnoevil these people are Christians, bringing what it is important to know too those who did not necessarily even consider it important to know before. My comment about the democrats is related in that they have no concern or any respect for God, everything they say and do is antichrist all the way. I'm thankful that these artists are willing to make use of their talents and abilities to raise awareness in others of the infinite importance of acknowledging that there is a God, there is only 1 God, and he is the God of redemption.
Mik Ser.... Firstly, the fact that you recognize the devil..probably makes you a Christian...right? Demon Hunter isn't Praise & Worship. It is a bunch of people who are musically talented that face the devil each day...just like you do...except they sing about it... It is a story... it might even be a part of a testimony. I have a million other things to say to you...but I won't. Music is an expression and I applaud Demon Hunter for keeping it that way. So in all politeness, don't act like you haven't dealt with the devil. We all do.. some like to tell their stories and others don't. Just because it's not ' the usual ' doesn't make it bad
