The VA delivered it completely straight, without a hint of irony or winking to the audience, only Inosuke’s real concern. If you’d never watched the show before, you’d believe his name was Kentaro.

Throughout this whole show zenitsu is the only one who doesn't break his sword out of the three, showing how skilled and how well he uses it since he mastered the first thunder breathing form

I had the same confusion about the title, it's the other meaning of forged, as in it's a forgery. Tanjiro is saying that the bond the demon with his "family" is fake.

btw in the opening there is a section where it'd show Tomioka and the silhouette of other demon hunters the rest of the group will become visible as they appear so if you check now Shinobu (the butterfly lady) is there

It's not just you this show has such good water effects it's really impressive, it's CGI I think and yet it looks seamless, and this episode isn't even the peak of the show animation wise!

A fun thing to note is inosuke was actually fast enough and agile enough to get into a position that would genuinely have killed the boss monster, he just needed that gyui touch to perfectly slice through. But the skill is still there

the relationship between inosuke and tanjirou is one of my favourite aspects of the series! i just love how they go from fighting on sight the first time they meet, to genuine comrades and friends in just a couple episodes. the four kid crew (tanjirou, nezuko, inosuke, zenitsu) is just something that is so well developed and really nice to see. when you meet people that just click with you, it's magical

I agree that the title is a bad translation, but I'm not sure how to make it sound "cool" and be similar. (Original: "Nisemono no kizuna," 偽物の絆) nisemono = an imitation of the real thing, or literally, something just meant to look like the real deal: a forgery kizuna = the connection people have with each other: their 'bonds' or the part of themselves that is tied to the other

I really like the double meaning of "forged bonds" Your bonds could be forged like a sturdy chain, solid and secure. Or they could be forged like a contract, flimsy and ready to be dispelled at a moment's notice.

Giyuu's has a blue edge and so is technically still considered having a blue blade, but still

Most swords in demon slayer are black with a colorful edge (indicating the breathing style). Giyuu’s sword has a blue edge, Tanjiro’s sword is completely black.

I think someone tried to be too clever with english title because in japanese it's very much "Fake Bonds", but someone decided to use double meaning of "forged" - the forged documents are fake (this is the meaning of original japanese title) but forged sword is strong and enduring. It's especially weird because the word "forge" used with "bonds" already has very positive connotation - we forge bonds with family, friends - but the original title is negative, about fake (nisemono) bonds.

So it's not so much he's saying it was forged rather he's calling their relationship a "Forgery" or fake. It's a nice contrast to the bonds he'd forged out of experience and mutual respect.
