7:32-One of the things I love about this show is the influence of Samurai culture on the Demon Slayers. Remember, this is the Taisho Era or the early modern period of Japan. While the Samurai rate may have been abolished during the prior Meiji period, they have yet to completely fade from living memory. As a result, many elements of Bushido remain alive in the country they helped to protect for a thousand years, and the Demon Slayers are no exception, hence why Urokodaki brings up Seppuku as Tanjiro's atonement in the event he fails to keep his sister from eating a human. It really helps to reinforce that more than Nezuko's fate is at stake and that Tanjiro's own life and honor hinge on his success or failure in his quest.

I love that scene. My reaction was to laugh but not cause it was funny necessarily but because it was powerful, if that makes sense. Urodaki is not playing around! And he has a point

I recommend watching the end credit scenes at the end of every episode. They're called "Taisho secrets" and they give fun facts about the characters, series and such. They're not super important but they're still worth watching imo at least.

Tanjiro's kindness will be very important in this show. It's one of the things that i really love about him because it's not the "he's so kind to the point that he's stupid", but the type that makes you want to have someone like him in your life. Even his voice in the sub is very sweet and gentle. It makes me feel calm

@@Offisian so i just watched some clips on youtube and not gonna lie, Rui's dub is actually really good. But for me, Rui's voice in the sub makes his character even more terrifying and i love his VA too lol 😂 But seriously they're both really good

This soundtrack gives the show such an epic feeling. Same with the animation, especially during the dodging the logs scene. Everything just looks so clean and polished like a movie budget, but it's every freakin’ episode. The dynamic shots with the camera work is just amazing as well, the flow of the movements and characters is so naturally portrayed, even the jumps and strikes have a certain weight to them that just feels powerful and extra detailed.

Tanjiro is the whole opposite of Eren. Eren decided to turn into the evil he once fought. Tanjiro never does, even when he can achieve more power by doing so. Kindness and a good heart should always prevail.

The discussion about Tanjiro’s hesitancy for killing the demon is interesting since as far as I recall this one is basically the only demon Tanjiro second guesses about in the rest of the series. He is incredibly kind and empathetic even to the demons trying to kill him, but one of my favorite traits of his is that he strikes all of them down without hesitation without contradicting that empathy and understanding even once.

Since hearing Giyu say it last episode, I'm paying attention to how they say Urokodaki. Urokodaki himself said it like the Japanese version with the emphasis on the A, but Giyu and Tanjiro put the emphasis on the O Hahaha

I think the reason why Nezuko special is because like in the flash back she is used to contain her urges for the sake of others/ loved ones. Holding her hunger so her siblings can eat better, ignoring cold so her siblings can get better clothes, overcoming pain to save her siblings, etc. Demons hunger is basically the same as humans urges but x100 I think and that's why she can overcome it with a lot of mental effort and Tanjiro's help.

As someone who watches a lot more anime than you do at this point, I can assure you it is not absurdly common to have the OP at the end of the first episode...it definitely happens, like in this show, but it is in no way the norm. Honestly I've found it to be quite diverse, sometimes you get the OP right at the beginning of the first episode, sometimes a short intro than the OP near the start, a lot of the time you get no OP at all in the first episode or the first couple episodes, theres a huge range.

Ok so AFTER s1 there’s one arc you can either watch as a movie or episodes. Will you watch the movie or episodes? *DIFFERENCES:* in episodes the first episode wasn’t in the movie at all and it’s anime original(if you want to do the movie watch atleast the first episode before it). Another difference is that episodes have new opening and ending. And episodes have few scenes that weren’t in the movie (like 2 or 3 but it doesn’t make that big of a difference.) Edit: I personally prefer the episodes.

Hearing your thoughts on heroism and the morality of merciful characters like Tanjiro, Aang, and Edward Elric, I strongly recommend you check out the show Trigun. Not necessarily saying to react to it but if you want to just watch it on your own time, it's a pretty light-hearted show at first that over time becomes a more serious depiction of just how difficult a burden that kind of morality can be, getting to even darker places for its main character than Edward is pushed to.

what i realy like about tanjiro, is that Paladin's are my favorite RPG class, a holy warrior who fights to protect the innocent, but at the same time, he doesnt hate his enemy, he feel sorry for them, is easy to fight an enemy you hate, it is VERY HARD o fight an enemy you pitty.

At 0:34 many new shows or the first episode of a new season of a show will not put the op right away instead they put at the end of the first episode, after said first episode they put the opening back at the begining of each episode, hope you understant this explanation I'm not good at explaining stuff

Nice I love Demon Slayer! A good one but the Japanese version is waayyyyy better… Idk like I think the experience improves then if you try and watch in Eng sub. Another nice anime you should watch is Naruto or One Piece reaaalllllyyy great shows

On one of our first dates we were trying to find this island we had heard about, hoping to arrive there at night and stay until sunrise. We got as close to it as we could on the map but since it was pitch black could only see these giant black rocks in the distance. We decided to try to swim for the biggest of the rocks, but she couldn't swim, so she got on my back. But since it was dark we had severely misjudged the distance and I started to get tired and go under. But I realized if I gave up at that moment we'd 100% both die, so I decided to ignore the fear and the indecision of whether or not to go forward or back towards the shore, and to pretend it was just one of my workouts. I kept swimming and we made it to the rock, which, when we climbed to the top, realized was the island we had been searching for and was insanely beautiful with these really unique flowers. And we spent the night there.
