The resemblance and the earrings point to it being someone related to Tanjiro, but for all we know it could be an ancestor that traumatized Muzan ages ago. It also seems pretty heavily implied this person could use sun breathing, yet Rengoku's dad said it was a lost art or whatever, if it were as recent as Tanjiro's dad I don't think Rengoku's dad would be so surprised to find someone like Tanjiro that seems able to use it.

Nah Micky her leg regenerated instantly cause her leg and arm got chopped off and she stomped her with the leg that was cut cause u see she has both arms and legs

Nezuko's bamboo muzzle/gag was there to prevent her from eating human flesh. It serves no other purposes than that alone. Presumably, if other demon through out the series are capable of talking normally, so Nezuko's too (or will), so its a Yes. But regarding of question of why aren't she just did since the beginning? Thats the mystery. It could perhaps happen because her normal demeanor and personality was suppressed in order to preserving her human side & memories from degrading over the time. And deep inside, its just taking care of her current 'demon personality' which surfacing to the physical body, which in results, its makes Nezuko just became that of children-like mentally

I believe Tanjiro was fighting without the breathing technique...like all those moves with one breath. Which gassed him out.

This episode made me realise how well it could work as a boss battle in a game. First act is Tanjiro, then second act you switch to Nezuko.

no guys, it's not Tanjiro's father, it's Yoriichi the child prodigy and first pillar of the sun dance.

Nezuko was pissed not only for Tanjuro but because she saw the victims as her family members, remember in the first season she was hypnotised to see/ protect all humans as her family members. The flashback I believe is an ancestor as it looked like someone in one of the first episodes when talking about demon slayers. All the sun breathers may have the same hair colour and scar. Also mention Tanjuro had been told his family was coal miners for decades xx

So while Tanjiro was struggling to breathe. In that scene in the manga the author talks saying that humans have 2 limits. A stamina and life limit. Tanjiro was about to go over his life limit. If his sister Hanako, hadn't told him to breathe he would have died. Also Tanjiros bloody eyes came from immense anger because Daki killed the people so his veins bursted. It was explained that this anger would give a temporary power boost but it had the negative effect of causing tunnel vision so he forgot his pain, blinking and even breathing Also there was a cool line saying "If Humans could harness the power of hatred and anger...then demons would have disappeared from this world a long time ago"

Do you know how mad someone has to be to cry blood? Tanjirou' Rage was kind of hinted at in season 1 when the Spider Mother killed some Demon Slayers. Tanjirou was so angry he scared even Inosuke. Also we finally see Nezuko's full demon form or as I like to call it Boing Boing mode!...I'll see myself out.

Why is everyone always assuming that memory is of Tanjirou's father? That's impossible, he would have been too weak. He also only knew he had to pass on the Breathing Technique with the Earrings, because he promised, probably to his own father. But they have already shown in the first episode of this arc, that the family has been one of charcoal burners for centuries. Also, if that WAS his father and Muzan was this afraid of him, he would have been a Pillar. Like, think about it for even a second and you would understand that anyone would know about his Breathing Technique - no, his entire family would be known to everyone in the corps. There's no way no one would recognize the guy who still used the first Breathing Technique. All that Shinobu could tell him about it was that Honoo (Flame) and Hi (Fire) was not the same and that the wording was important. That Flame was never to be called "Fire". Because "Hi" for Fire can also mean "Sun". And with all the hints we got (Hanafuda-Earrings, which depict the sun; Rui referring to him as "warm as sunlight"; his spiritual core being the literal sun; even on his warding mask, though that was a hint of the author since Urokodaki wouldn't know about it, his scar was depicted as a sun) it was obvious already, but Rengoku's father spelled it out for us. This is old knowledge that not everyone has, but even if some have it, it isn't well known. If that guy had been in any of the recent generations, hell, everyone would know.

@The Normies for your info , the man that appeared in Daki's vision was not Tanjiro's father. His name is Yorichi who passed down his skills to Tanjiro's family and Muzan faced him around 500 years ago and was forced to flee. Also he is the one who created the Breathing techniques and is the wielder of SUN BREATHING and yes of course he is and was INVINCIBLE and died due to old age.

I wasn't into Daki at all in the manga, but having Miyuki voicing her is really pressing my buttons, I've been a fan of her performances ever since hearing Saeko from HOTD.

When Tanjiro stopped breathing, it reminded me of doing hard labor or exercising. Mistakenly holding the breath and tensing to push further but it's detrimental to the body.
