This game was incredibly fun, made by CC2 who made the Ultimate Ninja Storm Games which were amazing, the game feels very smooth, dope game yo. Also the fact that they used the anime ost in the game is sick but its a nightmare for us content creators since its copyrighted lol.
It's hilarious that the two types of comments I'm seeing are: "If you like NUNS games you will love this game" or "This game is not similar to NUNS because one extremely minor gameplay mechanic"
I think this is a great game love how they didn’t make it bad but even though the game has a similar feel to storm the gameplay really isn’t like storm. Controls and mechanics are actually considerably different
The story mode is a drag, the cutscenes are great, the boss battles are unique to a point, the cutscenes are as great as the anime itself, the versus mode is where it's really at.
It's kinda hilarious that he has such a strong opinion of Muichiro when he's been in the anime a grand total of maybe 45 seconds. He just barely had an introduction. Imo it's a little silly Charlie is so hung up on his "distracted" character when the anime hasn't even shown hardly anything about him yet, cuz he is a genuinely great character. Charlie could just as easily be joking, but he says it as a legitimate criticism in his review so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Hakumai_o7 Charlie is basing it off of what he knows of the characters, which at this point, he is correct. A lot of the Hashira get pretty great development by the end of the manga so I'm sure his opinion will change with time.
This is one of those "this looks incredibly fun but I'll probably wait for a sale" kind of games. I liked Demon Slayer but idk if I'm willing to shill full price for a game.

I definitely think it’s better than most anime games that have come out. Some aspects are repetitive and if you’ve seen the anime then you know the story. Online multiplayer is fun!!

I agree with him, that some characters just do the same annoying thing over and over FROM THE ANIME PERSPECTIVE, because in the manga they get really nice development and get more to their character.
Anime has 1 season tho I don't get what ppl are saying when they say this And in that one season it dragged at points for having to much character devolpment all mashed together.
You also have to realize THAT there is literally only one season of demon slayer so there hasn’t been time enough for LOTS of character development especially for the hashira. It’s not fair to put it against a finished product because the anime is not.
Lol I really did enjoy playing this game, but I completed it, unlocked everything, and earned all achievements in just two long play sessions. Also, they nailed the Rui vs. Tanjiro fight which is all I could ask for.
@@brandons2640 Personally I don't think it does. I don't particularly enjoy playing against people online and I don't feel like grinding out the last few training missions I have left. So, the only reason I'd go back and play the game again is if I wanted to replay some of the story fights or if they released some new DLC content.
The funny thing is he keeps saying that about him but we have only seen him like 2 times but he sais it like every time he is like that in the 100 episodes we have seen.
The best way to make this game fun is to have it be open world, and you create your own demon slayer avatar and select your breath techniques. Or better yet, be unique that you can learn the multiple breathing styles

the "guy who's always distracted" is one of the coolest characters in later arcs, most of the hashira only seemed uninteresting since they introduced like 8 new characters at once and didnt have time to give them all entire character arcs in the span of two episodes

It’s pretty fun, I really like the boss fights and the visuals are just like the anime. It also plays a lot like the Naruto storm games which I already love. I can’t wait for the demons to be playable in versus mode
This is completely unrelated to the game, but I feel like the one note character trait thing is only like a weird way to introduce a characters personality in the beginning, because whenever demon slayer kind of closes in on the character they tend to end up being really well rounded rather than just being one note, kind of like rengoku, or even zenitsu(he still wines all the time but he shows true care and lack of fear as his development from time to time)
even in manga, most characters still have only one trait and even out of those that get some backstory, most is only poorly writen cliches that are putted there to make you fell somethig right before character dies. In addition, there is no character developmemt at all, every single character is completly the same when they are introduced and in the end. The story is realy there just to kinda connect cool fight ideas, which in anime work good, in manga less so
I think people should wait to judge their characters as the anime progresses. Like they were JUST introduced in a season. Yeah Zenitsu is whiny, Tanjiro is kind, and Inosuke is wild, but they have a reason to be like that.
I know they will develop later on but introducing characters as one dimensional feels really sloppy as before they get developed they are still human beings that are three dimensional.

For me, the game artstyle is very good, but the problem with making a game based on a show is there is nothing new. When Dev doesnt want to use this chance for some teasers for season 2, people already know the ending and the whole storyline is. I might play it for the artstyle, but not for the story and the cutscene

It’s actually pretty fun. The game is pretty cool if you play competitively online…. That’s the best part. Story mode was okay. Definitely amazing for beginners to the show.

Characters in the parts that the anime has animated are worse than in the manga. In the manga Zenitsu is cool, Tokito is cool, everyone that we hated is now cool. Except for Inosuke, I don’t think he changed one bit
It isnt. Maybe story mode feels like storm because of the quick time event sections, but the story mode offers more interesting boss fights, diverse ennemies with different movesets (ennemy demons). As for the fighting itself, it uses new mechanics and removes others from the storm games. They added push block, parries, certain combo starters have different possible amount of extension. They removed substitution, long ranged throwables and the chakra dashes that used to be spamed a lot. They changed how awakenings work, now there are 2 stages, stage 1 allows for more speed and damage and stage 2 adds on top of boost unlimited energy for the duration of the awakening. I might be forgetting stuff, but the gane is different and will not be played the same has storm. It might look like just another storm type 3d arena fighter. But it will not play the same at all.
"Jump Shipuuden ultimate ninja force" looks kinda diff tbh. those "popular anime" fighting games be looking like a carbon copy of each other but with reskins

Since the crowd will always buy thier games as long as a popular brand is attached with it, the game devs behind those games won't innovate at all. I first saw this with EA, then with behaviour, in an extra cocky way and now with those fighting games and it makes me sad that popular game devs rarley show the integrity old game devs studios had back then. And during all of that i read a quote that summed the whole situation up in a very good way. "If you stay on top without having to try, you won't just give it your best because theres no need to" (among those lines im bad at remembering quotes) Yet i still wish you as much fun as you can have with this game, don't feel discouraged by me ranting and have a nice day! ^^

@@moshpitfuneral I know but like... he is literally the definition of a Flanderization character, his whole personality is crying like a baby and then being OP when he falls asleep (he does get a lot better in the later chapters but he is really annoying early on)

@@nothingtoseehere9648 Honestly I hate Tanjiro the most out of the 3, simply because he wins every fight because of either a memory, a bullshit new mechanic that coincidentally counters his opponent in every way possible or the demon just feeling bad, never because he is actually stronger except for like 3/4 fights very early in the series. Overall I think the writing, both story and characters in demon slayer, is really it's major weak point, but it's going to be enjoyable as an anime either way simply because of the audiovisuals the show has.
They will be pacing the game along side the anime so characters will be introduced throughout the series with most likely free updates. They already confirmed I think 8 free characters the 1st 2 being Rui and Akaza.
I'm so glad this game ended up being good. After Jump Force and One Punch Man I was pretty worried for these games' future. The menu and ui made me especially worried, but luckily for us it's better than I thought it'd be

JJK was in 7th place (which even though I prefer demon slayer, JJK is objectively better). Black clover was at 20th-ish spot. This is just too much praise for it. Mind you that if it had EP19 as 6th place, no one would question

I remember when I read the manga, Zenitsu placed 1st on a character poll in Japan. A lot of anime watchers I knew in US hated him though so I figured it was a cultural difference. Or Japanese fans were trolling.

I was really hoping they'd make this a character action game, the same genre as Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Demon Slayer would fit that very well since we've seen demons that are just jobbers that even Tanjiro as a newbie has no problem just mowing down.
@@spartandumpster1158 Those were the demons they were able to capture alive there are very few of those normally they fight to the death those are new demons and Tanjiro doesn't exactly run into those very often especially since naturally demons cannot as in straight up cannot form groups out of trust or anything like that.
