It's kinda funny how people get mad at the other demon slayers for not having sympathy for the demons. It's like they forget that the slayers don't see these flashbacks and that Tanjiro is the only one who can sense how they feel.

yall gotta notice how Rui, the LM5 is pretty much Muzan's favorite Lower Moon demon. like for example: - He allowed Rui to create a pretend family when Muzan's rule was that demons aren't allowed to band and work together as a team. - Muzan who favors people that are strong makes his way to Rui who is the very opposite of what Muzan wants in a person. - When Rui was grieving and pretty much sitting in his house with his dead parents, Muzan could've just let him be since there's a lot of people who he can turn into one but he made the effort into coming to him personally, convincing him to join the other side and get stronger. it's possible too that it could be one of the reasons why he was too pissed in the Lower Moon Meeting that he decided to kill all of them except Lower Moon 1. manga spoiler (don't look below any further if you haven't read the manga): im guessing that maybe Muzan found himself in Rui. If I remember correctly, he was born sick and was only saved by a doctor with his experiment. I think he makes his way to Rui because he sees himself in him and do the things that he thinks is right for Rui that he wished he could've done for himself.

I think it's the fact that his parents willing go to hell so he won't be alone is what gets me. As someone who's really close with my own mom and dad, it hit me way to hard. Seeing parental love go that far is something you don't see often in these shows since most of theses characters parents are fully dead or never mentioned.

Omg.. that was such an emotional scene. Demon Slayer Anime is really hitting us with these tear jerkers. People say reading the manga is better or the same. Are you kidding, You can't get the Phenomenal Music, Extraordinary Voice acting and Animations in the manga. The ANIME is a masterpiece.

tanjiro shows kindness to almost all demons he met and fought except: + upper moon 4 for his madness + akaza because he didnt know akaza's background, and was still angry about kyojuro's death (anyway a bit of concern as he noticed akaza's final smile) + muzan (son of a b**, we all know why)

Ngl i kinda want an anime where the villain is really pure evil and doesnt have a sad backstory just straight up become evil. For example like the villain was rebellious in their younger days which caused them to be like what they are in the present cause i dont wanna keep being angry at the villain until i find out their back story i just feel a little hypocritical.

8:51 Tanjiro's pity and sympathy is misguided. Regret means nothing if you're already dead and if you have no choice left but to die. If they had shown regret before they were killed maybe sympathy can be given, like the "mother" in this arc. She didn't even fight back anymore, she just asked for a painless death. The rest of the demons however only showed regret because they could do nothing anymore but die. If they have had the chance to be revived even if their head is severed, I'm sure they would do the same thing they'd do. Their regret isn't even about the they killed a lot of humans. They regretted the fact that they lived a miserable life. Their massacre is only a regret with little to no affect on them. Look at rui, his regret is he killed a bunch of people he can't go to his parents.
