Movie is canon.. it's right after where season 1 left off... so i advise to watch season 1 even if you want to do it on your own to understand the story then only watch season 2 which picks up right after the movie.
In Rengoku's honor, here are some Rengoku Fun Facts: Kyojuro loved to watch sumo wrestling. Kyojuro's favorite food was sweet potatoes. When eating them, he said "tasty/delicious" (旨うまい umai) each time he puts one in his mouth. His favorite side dish was salt grilled bream. Kyojuro was never allowed to have a pet because his father hated animals. Kyojuro's very distant ancestor, as stated by Kyojuro, ate a lot of tempuras causing their descendants' and their own hair to become quite abnormal. The Rengoku family has long since had a practice called "Kankagari" (觀かん篝かがり kankagari). For the duration of their pregnancies/gestation period, every seven days the wives will spend two hours gazing at a large flaming torch. This seems to be what causes the men in the family to have flame colored hair. Kyojuro viewed the other Hashira as follows. "She developed the poison! Amazing! She fights on despite her disadvantageous physique! She deserves my respect!" - Insect Hashira "He's even more talented than I am when I was around his age! You're young, keep up the remarkable work!" - Mist Hashira "His senses are sharp! If it's just his shoulder, elbow, and the joints in his wrist, then they're more flexible than Kanroji's!" - Serpent Hashira "He's blessed with a huge physique!, I'm envious! Swinging those gigantic weapons so lightly is amazing! Fantastic muscular build!" - Stone Hashira "His voice is so small! It's difficult to hear what he has to say! He's a hard worker!" - Water Hashira "The trajectory of his swordsmanship is beautiful! I saw a shinobi for the first time ever! I'm deeply moved! He slightly has too many wives!" - Sound Hashira "She utilizes her talent! The creativeness of her techniques is terrific as well! She's a cute junior!" - Love Hashira "The man who pushed the Wind Breathing's techniques up to the next level! How admirable!" - Wind Hashira Kyojuro's level of openness was ranked as 95%. It was revealed in a Taisho Secret in Episode 28 that Rengoku doesn't have a Tsuguko because of how hard his training is and they end up running away. Kyojuro is one of only 4 Hashira that use a normal Nichirin Katana. The other 3 are Giyu Tomioka, Muichiro Tokito, and Sanemi Shinazugawa. In Kimetsu Academy, Kyojuro is a history teacher. Because of his passion of teaching and his love of history, he began hurling his students and starting cavalry battles during class. He's loved by his students, and nobody in this academy has terrible grades in history.
Great reaction from you both. I was in the same boat as you guys - never really watched anime until my co-worker introduced me to Demon Slayer. I was like "hey I'm not really into that stuff but as you keep persisting that I give it a try it's has to be what you consider top tier!" He gave me all of Demon Slayer (Season 1 & 2 plus this Movie), also another anime called Death Note. I've loved everything so far and I must say Demon Slayer got me hooked. I'm somewhat surprised myself how much I'm invested into this story, it's lore and characters. I am glad I gave this show a chance because I really love this anime now. If you guys continue along this adventure I'm so aboard! Enjoy the journey. P.S You closed your eyes after Rengoku asked Tanjiro to "Tell his father he wants him to take care of himself." For me, that really hit close to home (also the last request to his younger sibling) and many other moments in this movie.
Loved it !! You only watched this movie and already felt attached to the characters, it shows how effective ufotable's work was when realizing it. You should react to the first season to understand the story, I promise it is worth the journey, and season two is at least at the level of the movie! The characters are incredible, their development is way out of the norm and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I hope this will sign your entry in the anime reaction world, and I'll be waiting for it. I'll subscribe right away and be sure that I'll be seeing the next video. There may have been some lecturing comments saying that you "should have seen the first season to fully understand" but whilst its true, it's still a movie, and it should be understandable by itself so don't listen to the kind of critics that just complain about that. As a manga/anime aficionado I'm just here to encourage you in this path, no matter what episode or anime you start from. Keep up your work!
I recommend to watch s1 so y'all can fully understand the story and then s2 the movie did well on making it ez to understand the story but theres some stuff that y'all most know about the story like the main villain and what's the main goal of tanjiro.
Definitely watch the movie guys! The show is amazing just like the movie! Plus watching the show will give you more context of the anime. It's great! Would love to see yalls reaction to season 1and 2
You want to know the sad part about that last fight? Akaza wasn't even trying to kill Rengoku he never stood a chance, that's how powerfull is Akaza. No cap if they want to defeat him they will need AT LEAST 2 hashiras just to fight him because Akaza wasn't going all out and he still beat Rengoku.
definitely watch season 1. season 2 watch the first episode but you can skip the rest of mugen train arc 2-7 to episode 8 because its this movie with some extra scenes and content but its not important. the last 11 episodes of season two is the entertainment district arc its amazing but season one is essential in my opinion for the character development, history and world building
You have to watch season 1 otherwise you won’t understand any of the characters pasts and traits that they have, that make them say and do the things they do. The movie was released and takes place after the events of season 1. they made the movie into a 7 episode series. The movie is mandatory to the story, but is not considered a 2nd season, just an arc that was to short to make a series so they made it into a movie. Also only watch episode 1 of the 7 episodes that are from the movie series, because only the first episode is different from the movie. Then you get into season 2, which is the entertainment district arc which is with the sound Hashira. This season is better than anything that has ever occurred in the show before. It is a must watch. But remember you MUST watch season 1, there’s no debated. Don’t listen to the people that say u don’t have to watch it, because they are completely wrong.
the mugen train events occurs right after season 1, so i recommend watching season 1. then you can watch season 2 with the knowledge that's the continuatation after mugen train. great reaction! ill sub in hopes you react to demon slayer!
You all hear one thing akaza was playing with Rengoku you can't imagine that akaza is a another level and he's stronger than you think. But still we love you Rengoku san you're a great hashira. ❤❤
I enjoyed your reaction a lot! I really recommend starting season 1 to get all of the contexts and learn everything like y'all said. After finishing season one, continue onto season 3 (I consider the movie season 2). Seriously, it's an amazing show! I'd love to watch some reaction episodes for it.
Thank you for uploading the second part even if there were a lot of negative comments last time. Just a tip if you want to react to the whole series, just try to minimize the volume or modify the actual video you are reacting to because japan is very strict on copyright. Since you are very quick in grasping the show, just for context from the movie without going to spoiler territory before you watch s1: Rengoku is his surname and kyōjurō (kyoujurou) is his first name. The other characters you saw in the end were the other hashiras which you will know in the series. Kyojuro really dies in the manga so it's canon. I love the characters in the show and he's my top one fave. The demon enmu, said that the uppermoon demons live in peace for more than a century, you are correct in guessing this is the first time they encountered one in an actual fight. The fact that they lived "unbothered" for a long time proves their strength is of different caliber (as seen in the fight). How to watch: season 1 - movie (rewatch) - season 2 episode 1 - season 2 episode 8 (first part of s2 ep 8 is linked to s2 ep 1; second part of ep 8 is the next arc after rengoku). The series has a lot of post credit scenes which will appear after s1 episode 1. Mostly side info / skits on the character or show. A must watch since reactors miss that part. The feels on the show has a huge range. You'll cry, laugh, some episodes will test your patience lol, be really sad, Always have a box of tissues close by lol. I really enjoyed your reactions. You quickly got the story and hope you'll love the series same way as i do.
@@sherloke9803 yes but for this generation of hashiras, akaza is the first one they'd encounter. Didn't include what you mentioned because they are first time reactors who have not seen s1 and s2. I could only provide a general overview since they'll figure it out should they watch the series.
@@sanjaysanj5603 i'm actually following what ufotable did. Since the movie came out before of s2. Actually the context of s2 episode 1 makes sense for the first part of s2 episode 8. And yeah i first watched it in the order you mentioned but context wise it fits the narrative more if we follow the one ufotable did but if you disagree, that's totally fine.
The Season 1 is before the movie and have 26 episodes. The Season 2 it´s splits in two parts, The first parts have 7 Episodes Its the movie but en episodes.. The second part of Season 2 have 11 episodes after the movie.
You guys need to watch season 1 to understand everything. Zenitsu wasn’t fighting sleep, he was literally fighting asleep, he is a total master when asleep but a wimp when awake. It is explained why in season 1.
The animation is insane, it's really hard to make cgi animation look good; see RWBY, and even harder to mix cgi w/hand drawn animation. Demon Slayer does it spendidly. Super simple anime story, but good writing good art, good voice acting make it work really well.
Watch these in order Season 1 (26 episodes) Mugen Train Arc Episode 1 (Mugen Train is 7 episodes but the 1st episode wasn't in the movie) Entertainment District Arc (Season 2) (11 episodes)
Actually a lot came to know then loved the series after they watched the movie. There's a reactor who had no idea what KNY or anime was all about just accompanied his daughter to watch this movie and he got so curious in the end he ended up watching s1 and s2. So yeah it's a process and not everyone would start in the expected order. Tbh, I wasn't fully invested in most of the episodes of s1, it was the movie that changed my mind and decided to continue the series. Now i'm done with almost all kny just reading the light novels and saving up for some kny figurines. 😁✌🏼
Kinda weird you started off with the movie lol. Its like starting to watch a series at the third season. Theres very little emotional impact if you dont know who the characters are. Hope you start from the beginning. Would watch then
