Not to mention he flat died when they were younger. He was sickly but people tend to remember when they find a loved one dead and Tanjiro and Nezuko never say "our father disappeared" they say "he died" - it's obviously a sun breathing user or ancestor. The sun breathing and the jagged forehead mark must turn your hair red because Tanjiro's hair turned that sand color when he was beheading Gyutaro.

Hopefully they see this, but the cat at 11:50 was not the Upper Moon 4 Hantengu. That's Lady Tamayo's (The friendly Demon Women back in season 1) assistant cat, Chachamaru. We've seen that cat a couple times where Tanjiro collects high ranking Demon's blood to find a cure for Nezuko

I feel like everyone makes this mistake when first seeing Kokushibo. Hes not Tanjiros dad, Hatengu said they last met 113 years prior so it’d be WAY too long since they said that the upper ranks remained unchanged for over a century. Plus Nezuko said their father died because he succumbed to an illness he had. However I understand the mistake cause with the hair and the scar there are similarities. Doesn’t mean their related

We saw Tanjioro’s dad perform the dance of the sun god breath style when Tanjiro had a flashback and also he mentioned that his father passed away so he became the man of the house for his family. Muzan had flashbacks of the guy in Tanjiro’s dream multiple times throughout the show. and the dream we saw in this episode showed someone that looked like Tanjiro without a matching scar. A scar that his father also had. Every time they should the mystery swordsman has been eluding to an ancestor or some one that had a connection with his ancestor

I swear none of the reactors pay attention to the shows they watch. Primarily demon slayer. The Upper moons have never once been replace for over HUNDREDS of years even more so for the higher ranked ones. But every reactor without fail are like OMG ITS TANJIROS DAD!!! If that were the case tanjiro would be in his 60s if his dad was a demon. HIS DAD IS DEAD FROM A SICKNESS

14:10 I just put this here for those interested: "Arigatou" can be translate as "thank you" and if you want to say "thank you very much", you can say "Domo Arigatou". "Arigatou gozaimasu" is more like a like a polite way to say "thank you" but it doesn't really mean "thank you very much". I hope my explanation are clear and correct, i'm still learning japanese 😅

As a manga reader, all I will say is that the confusion behind the man in Tanjiro's dream (which is not Tanjiro's father) and Upper Moon 1 will be addressed later on in the season and the rest of the series. It is definitely confusing at first, but without spoiling anything specific, they are two different people.

The thing I love about Upper One is this, battles between demons are ultimately a waste of time. No matter what they do unless they are able to get the other one into sunlight, they can’t kill each other. Except for Kokushibu. He has a slayer sword, so on top of being more powerful than the others, he can off any of them for good

No, the cat is not a demon - it is Miss Tamayo's cat that always appears when Tanjiro wants to send her blood samples. Also, the dream is an ancestral memory - the man who looks like Tanjiro is a distant relative of his, going back a very long time in the past (I won't say how long but it's centuries). Remember, we have met Tanjiro's father and he does not look like that Samurai - and he certainly was not as healthy!

Demons don’t die when they have their head removed. Demons typically die from demon slayers when their spine is fully separated with a nichirin sword. People keep forgetting that lesson from s1.

Im going to explain to you guys the filler basically, The person you saw in the Neon District Arc when Tanjiro is fighting Gyutaro and his sister in the flashback of Muzans memories is the most powerful and strongest demonslayer called Yorichii. Yorichii looks like Tanjiro's dad because tanjiro's dad is a descendant of Yorichii who was the first and most powerful demon slayer to walk the planet hence why Muzan is scared shitless of those earings because Yorichii was the only slayer who was able to absolutely fuck up muzan so Yorichii wore them and passed them down. Kokoshibo (Upper one Demon) is Yorichii's brother, this is why they have similar marks, hair and a sword. Kokoshibo got jelouse that Yorichii developed Sun Breathing (Most OP breathing ever) so he decided to accept Muzans Demon Transformation offer and learn a technique opposite to Yorichiis called Moon Breathing. Hence why he uses a sword, Kokoshibo and Yorichii are on par with skill, Kokoshibo is a very powerful demon and is a HUGE problem to deal with due to his quick, versatile and insanely OP attacks. In summary, Tanjiro's dad is a descendant of Yorichii and Kokoshibo is yorichii's brother. But yeah, hope this clears up any confusion. Love the reactions!

the upper moon is kokushibo, the old guy is yorichi, the other tanjiro looking guy is Sumiyoshi and the tanjiro father is Tanjuro. You guys mess up everything LOL

@@jeffreyali3644 i'm not a manga reader, i know this info watching the anime, because i pay attention to the dialogue and etc, things people don't do. anyway, i saw better conclusions to this in another reacts, like people DON'T SEE kokushibo and yorichi don't have the same VA, this is a simple thing. Or tanjiro father have a different name of kokushibho and Sumiyoshi. Is just lazy attention, anyway.

@@dandandan8686 a few out of 95% of reactors though. I mostly got it through spoilers in season 1 saying that it wasn’t his dad in a flashback but another relative. Great Grandfather I think. I think it’s mostly people being all hyped up that they make the theories.

5:20 Tanjiro's mother Kie knew where the blue spider lilies bloomed. She showed them to him when he was very little, so that was why he briefly recalled them when his life was flashing before his eyes in the battle against Rui (Upper Rank Spider Demon - Lower 5).
