Can't win races when you lose traction and spin the whole quarter mile, got the same problem with my old Camaro and it's only 600 horse, so I just go road racing, where real drivers and real cars perform, we just whip on the Dodges all day long, they handle terrible, if the guy with the Camaro wanted to wreck his car and put a drag racing suspension on it, it of course slaughter the Dodge, nothing wrong with the guy driving the Camaro, you could hear him peddling all the way down, drag car and a street car, seems most people would figure that out.
@@GoogleUser-lo7jo It can both be considered a legitimate win, and that the driver does actually suck. The Demon won, yes. But the Camaro engine was completely bogged about 15-20 feet from the line. That's a terrible launch, no matter how you look at it.
Yes, you did. Probably has 30k in mods or more. Even if it has beat it, you are talking about a hyper modded car taking down a stock car with a full factory warranty.

You are probably right, but still apples and oranges. There are production bragging rights and there are mod bragging rights. The Demon is offered up also as a modified car, pushing over a 1000 h.p., but when you can drive it off the lot with a 70k warranty and still be very difficult to beat, that is saying something.
Basically....needed wide slicks on ....if you notice it there was a puff of smoke a quarter way down from the Camaro...so he held back to keep it straight

the wing and canards give hella downforce and slow the car down even with all the goodies hennessy put into it. i’d say a normal ZL1 exorcist with drag slicks and a great driver could dominate the Demon

@@ralphsmallblock4367 For some reason Dodge loves finding a reason to void a warranty, but I literally took a wrecked Camaro to GMC and they said they would warranty some of the parts, nothing failed because of the manufacturer, it all broke because of the wreck and they were going to fix it. I seen a video on here where a guy put a cold air intake on a Hellcat and dodge voided his warranty because of it. On my page, when we had the 4 cylinder Camaro, we tuned it and blew it up and Chevy said they'd warranty all the parts, but we wanted forged internals so we bought them ourselves. Chevy is awesome.
Not a fair race, regardless of the driver. The ZL1 1LE only comes in manual and the Demon comes in automatic. So, it's apples and oranges just from that standpoint...not to mention the driver. Put a regular ZL1 with the A10 transmission, that became an Exorcist, against this Demon...and ensure the drivers are equally experienced. Then we'll have a fair race. I'm about to drive off in my 2018 ZL1 right now. I opted for the manual because it's not my daily driver and I want to drive it!

Anytime you put an automatic against a stick (especially with an obviously mediocre driver behind the wheel), you really don't know how the cars match up. What I said applies whether the stick shift is on the Dodge or the Chevy. I have no loyalty to any brand. The Camaro had the 1LE road racing package only available in a manual in 2018, all the extra down force from the big wing and the front end does not help in a drag race either, plus get someone who can drive a stick better than that. Put both those cars on a road racing track with equally good drivers and the Exorcist would do circles around the Demon.
There is another video out there that shows the exorcist getting the better launch, and at first pulling ahead, but then the demon woke up and ran the exorcist down and won. Both drivers were professionals and the hosts of a popular automotive program.
The Camaro just kept spinning, Camaro too much power for the road racing suspension for drag racing, same problem with my road racing Camaro, now bring that Dodge to a road course and see who's boss.
The Camaro had a lot more H.P. added, but with the Demon it is just not about H.P.. It is set up to put it all to the ground, that is why it can beat the Bugatti with almost half the horse power.
Y’all are both goofs. Demon is a factory production car, The exorcist is not. Put a stock ZL1 and it gets cooked all day. Plus The Exorcist doesn’t make a 1000hp to the wheel, that’s crank hp. Put some drag radials on that thing and let it hook better it would be a lot closer. But so far almost every ZL1 Exorcist has lost to a Demon. The driver definitely matters. But we’ll never really know until we get 2 great we’ll known drivers, drag radials on both, and multiple runs. But for now, dodge takes that win with a production car, compared to one built at Henyssey.
That demon ain’t no joke it’s made to drag race but whoever drove the exorcist sucks for one and two. Make it a exorcist with the ten speed automatic and some drag slicks on it and it’ll be a better race. Dodge demon still might win though....
Ummm the exorcist is an American ricer built with a bunch of bolt on parts. The Demon was built and designed to do one thing …. Go straight from point A to point B as fast as it’s made to do so. I’m not shitting on the Bow tie…. Driver error or not. Two different cars completely.
@@l9ikjam, that doesn't change a thing. The ZL1-1LE was made for the track not the strip. Why not compare the demon to a COPO? No matter the hp configuration of the ZL1-1LE, it will mop the floor with any Chrysler, with exception of the Viper ACR, on any road course.
Alright I’m a huge dodge guy but goddamn whoever raced the exorcist was a terrible driver. Anyone who wants to see what a real drag race between the two cars would be like should watch the latest grand tour episode (spoiler demon still kicks its ass but it’s not laughable like this video)

Automatic Dodge and a manual Chevy the demon is way easier to drive and it's built to drag race the exorcist is just a bigger supercharger and a different ECU everything else is stock and that's a 1le to boot so its suspensions is stiff as hell so yeah it's not a good drag car.
Chevy loses = shitty driver Dodge loses = shitty car The demon ain’t no joke, even if the Camaro had a better driver, it still doesn’t have the suspension set up like the demon to launch like that. Don’t be sore losers. Chevy loses. Period.
The 1le is for track and Road course. That car has too much down force, not a drag car. They need the COPO or regular ZL1 exorcist! Who put this shit on here!
