Zen Super Stay Alive has exceptional power storage.
In fact, once charged, they have enough power to run an average OO or HO Locomotive more than two metres with the track power removed!
Super Stay Alives are available in 2 or 3-wire variants:
DCD-SA2-SS.1 - Single Pack, 2-Wire Super Stay-Alive
DCD-SA2-SS.3 - Triple Pack, 2-Wire Super Stay-Alive
DCD-SA3-SS.1 - Single Pack, 3-Wire Plug & Play Super Stay Alive
DCD-SA3-SS.3 - Triple Pack, 3-Wire Plug & Play Super Stay Alive
Super Stay Alives can be found direct from DCCconcepts or from any of our authorised dealers.
Zen 3-wire Stay Alives are the natural partner for your Zen Decoders, however they are also ideal for adding to high quality sound decoders which allow stay alive installation - such as ESU and others.
Zen 2-wire Stay Alives are great for decoders which need a two-wire connection such as Zimo products.
Despite their excellent power storage ability, the Super Stay Alive is very good value… and slightly smaller than competitive products.
Installation is easy - with the 3-wire stay alive on a Zen decoder, just connect the plug and play sockets. With the two-wire Stay Alive, or with a 3-wire harness, just connect the wires to the stay alive connection points on your decoder. The overall size of Super Stay-Alives is a compact 32.3mm long x 16.1mm wide x 5.3mm high. We recommend turning off DC running capabilities when using any Stay-Alives - this can be done using CV29 on your decoder.
Music can be found on www.mediafire.com - "Staying Alive".

Hi, I have two of your stayalives (DCC Concepts DCD-ZNSA.1 1 x Zen Series Stay Alive Standard Slimline 2 Wire 1stP) and would like to know if these will work with any decoder? I have a pre-owned Bachmann 08 which has a decoder hard-wired to which I would like to fit a stay-alive but am wary of doing so, given I don’t know what make decoder is fitted. Also, same loco, how do I connect the stay-alive, if I can actually fit it? First time dealing with anything DCC so be gentle! Thanks, Darren

Hi Darren, Some decoders can take stay-alives, others cannot - the best advice would be to find out what decoder is fitted, then get in touch with us at salesuk@dccconcepts.com where we will best be able to assist.

could that be used on a Hornby TTS decoder ?

We wouldn't recommend fitting this stay-alive to a TTS decoder.

@@richardbrighton7737 what's the reason behind that? Will it work with my rails of Sheffield 8 pin decoder? (Which I believe is made by you?)
@richardbrighton7737
@richardbrighton7737 3 года назад
@@MrHipwell1989 Hi Matt - TTS don't have stay-alive connection wires and there is no provision for connecting a stay-alive to the decoder. It can be done, but it would void the warranty of the decoder - hence saying that we don't recommend it. Of course, some will find a way - but that is totally up to them. Regarding the Rails of Sheffield decoders, these do not have Stay-Alive connections, but do have an "on-board" brown-out protection facility which does provide some run-on in the case of dirty pickups or a bit of dirty track. If you want to fit a higher-powered stay-alive, this can be done with decoders which provide this facility, such as our Zen range of decoders. I hope this helps!

I want to know if you have any control of the loco, when on keep alive, my guess is that you don't...
@richardbrighton7737
@richardbrighton7737 3 года назад
Sorry about the late response to your question - you are correct that whilst under power from the stay-alive, there is no ability to control the loco. This, after all, comes as a command from the control system which the loco will not "hear" unless there is good pickup from the track bus.

Terrible solder job. The wires should be twisted together before solder applied
