The planetGOLD Guyana project is assisting artisanal and small-scale gold mining communities in implementing mercury-free technologies that also increase yield and profits. This video demonstrates the use of three types of equipment that concentrate gold from alluvial deposits without using mercury - the gold kacha, gold cube, and blue bowl. The devices can be used in combination with each other and with other equipment to create an efficient and mercury-free gold recovery process.

Very good comparison video. I tried to blue bowl, but it's really very slow. Classifying to size fractions and cleanup sluice systems like the gold cube are pretty efficient and not that complex and expensive. Shaker tables are more expensive but very often used in larger mining operations. Hello from a Swiss gold prospector 🤠

@@JohnnySwedishScrapper yes it is slow i mostly use mercury for quicknes but dont like to i take a lot of time and efort to colect the mercury so as not to contaminate.also made a miller table wich is 10 x faster than blue bowl

The currency is abbreviated as GYD and is represented by the symbols $. $1 USD = $208 GYD So the Blue Bowl cost about $168 in US dollars Makes more sense. You’d think the video editor would have denoted that better.

It is unclear whether or not you are processing placer or hard rock gold. It seems like it must be placer, as a 3mm minus is a terribly coarse grind for hard rock. Can you clarify please? You could be unintentionally misleading some people.

@@planetGOLD I am currently working on a concentrator that is simple and can do a good job recovering gold from crushed rock down to 700 mesh// .03 mm. I already have a pulverizer that can crush 200 lbs/hr to 100 mesh and is also easy to build. While I am developing them for micro scale mining in developed countries, they should be well suited to artisanal scale in developing countries also. If someone just watches my channel, you can see when my progress is sufficient for application.

@@robertdraomin3802 That is common in hard rock ore. It gets tricky, but recovery down to 20 microns can be done with gravity concentration alone with some ores.

No offense but when I hear someone talk about environmental crisis when talking about a poor country, I just imagine the person being the modern-day equivalent of a PR person for a concentration camp trying to justify murdering people due to the "dysgenics crisis". No body in the future will care about the present-day fears just like how no one today cares about the scientific communities paranoia in the early 20th century that led to mass death. Future generations will look at the green movement as nothing more than a re-badged eugenics movement since that's what it is.
