Excelente Luis, en un momento decis algo que yo trato de hacerles entender a los pintores de lengua inglesa hace como doce años (estudie en GCA en el 2010) pero creo que no lo habia sintetizado tan bien: glazing es transparente, y veladura es semitransparente o semiopaco, porque tiene blanco. Yo les mencionaba la palabra veil vs glacis, que viene de vidrio, vidrio coloreado.

At the end you referred a video where we could see the prepration of wooden pannels usualy done by Rubens but I couldn´t find it, and it is not the Historical Painting Techniques, I suppose. Is a ‘drying oil’ suitable to use as a medium? Does a drying oil simply mean that it is faster drying? I am thinking of ordering the black oil with litharge from rublev to try out
@@rs_cruze Black oil is a suitable medium to use for top layers. Use it sparingly with the tip of the brush. I usually dilute this type of oil with spike oil of lavender.
