To who ever put that together I just want to say a great big thank you. It was fantastic as a child of the 80,s it was my all time favourite show. That and C.A.T.S eyes. Thanks made my day. 🥳
London Weekend Television really ruled drama. They produced programmes which I still enjoy watching today like this and London's Burning. All were well cast with attention to putting actors into roles who performed well, especially the cast of senior people like Gordon Cowley, Spikings and Station Officer Tate. The stunts are memorable too as they spent heavily on creating dramatic vehicle crashes which had to be performed for real and still look good today. LWT we miss you.
Well this video's montage has reminded me just how much I adored watching Harry drive around like a madwoman killing the crap out of any and all crooks in her way. Today's shows have such boring theme tunes compared to the early/mid 80s goldmine period.
Just from watching this clip there was apparently money to spare for this series: lots of stunts, good actors (the actress in the car who gets shot from behind by Makepeace has a very situational expression) and the good black guy on the station.
David bowie over the years I’ve had 3 of them and loved every minute of it. Sadly never had the Mercedes. But do have an Audi A4 soft top now. But not as fun. Wonderful memories 👍🏽

ITV4 Has started rerunning Dempsey and Makepeace Weekdays afternoons at 2.40pm , Have the series on DVD, They dont make 80's action dramas like they use to. Love it.
I agree what I find is London at it best the building that was there the less traffic before Orwell 1984 and before everything changed a year later ,it one of the last pure lLWT investigation/police drama , before the Bill took over. From special branch,sweeney ,the professional new avengers.
Been repeated on forces tv for over a month typical American 80’s pap no believable plots really hideous theme tune. Just good looking leads for the fans to lust over and some lovely 80’s cars and street scenes
Remember the show vaguely - I must have been 7 or 8, today I am shocked that my parents let me watch it when it aired in Denmark. My parents was in the room.
