Dempsey Barracks 2019 

I was there 1984 - 87. Best years of my life. Spent most of my spare time at the “ Hollywood” down the road in Schloss Neuhaus.

Had a great time there especially whilst working in the gymnasium ⚔️ Good times in the Battery bar and the Hollywood plus also the Greek restaurant around the corner. Got thrown out of there after putting ‘I am the Music Man’ on the dukebox, then doing dambusters impression around the bar area when the ‘..I can play the Dambusters, Dambusters’ etc line came, complete with Dambusters theme music!

Was there during the late 70's early 80 working in the Comcen in BHQ, spent many great nights in the REME bar above the cookhouse, great, great times. So good to see the old place again, such a shame that the British army moved out of Germany.

My first posting attached to 39 Hy Regt RA 56 Battery as a young Cfn Recy Mech all I can say is wild wild times.Would do it all again within a blink of an eye.

The British Army will never recover from leaving Germany it was the start of their demise as fighting force!

Met my wife at this barracks’s in 2004. Great memories and had some fantastic times. Leaving Germany will be a missed experience for young soldiers.

I loved going to this camp when I was little xx My dad was in 39 Heavy ❤

Was stationed there 96-03 12 Minden Battery 12 Regiment RA Good times with top men and women.

And this is a military development. Did service in Germany. The clean lines and funtionability of Germam design most pleasing. Uk could certainly do with some help, now!
