This will probably be my favorite pro match. After watching Navi come from behind to win and bring the series to 1-1, watching this was the most intense game to behold. Tongfu was going to win that game if they didn't fountain hook, and the fact that it took so much coordination to do yet they still did it is what makes this game so memorable. To think that Newbee may have won two years in a row is crazy, but it was stopped by incredible positioning and timing.

It's so typical of people to talk about in game bug to be cheating... but if the tournament allows it, it's fair game. Tongfu had the choice of banning or even using that strategy for themselves, that's why we have Captain Mode. It's interesting to see so many people whine about things like this. Calling them terrible players when in fact they can out play you any way they like. Thats why they get paid more than you playing video games all day long.

Afrizal Azizy They removed this because too many people complained about it. In an interview someone from valve said it was no bug, its a mechanic that should be in the game. And it isnt "overpowered" because it has a really high risk. If you miss the hook pudge gets sent to base without doing anything in the next teamfight.

Ghost1170 after this I had a few games where people tried that and failed horribly. 90% of the time they fucked up the timing and then it was a 5v4 situation.
Rus Ua There are plenty of games way better than this one, like game 5 of ti3 finals, game 2 of Cloud9 vs VG ti4, game 2 Na'vi vs IG ti2 just for calling a few. Tjis was practically a cheat, it was a bug which got fixed after Na'vi abused it on this game.
Ersel güleç How did they make it on purpose, there's a lot of undiscovered broken shit in the game, people just haven't found it yet, and it explains why they fixed it, because its a cheap trick to win games, Na'Vi never should have even gotten to the finals, and they wouldn't have if not for this bug.
Don't understand removing it, Stacking creep camps is technically a bug, bugs in the engine aren't always gamebreaking, all they needed to do was maybe make it harder to land
Oh man i remember how easy it was to fountain hook... you think it's fair to one shot their strongest team member tank? For landing a hook within a 1 second time frame of the chen spell being cast?
how is it risky? when you play at a professional level things like this become almost second nature, not saying its easy but for them it's certainly not too difficult
The best match ever. The first time i saw this (5 years ago) i said i have to test it right now, and it worked, i remeber got low prior for 13 days doing this in publics, but a little late they fix it.
Cheeetar fnatic's boost was indeed a bug and noone knew it... fnatic found it and instead of reporting it they chose to keep it up their sleves and use it in the finals.. while Navi's trick was well know for many many years even back in dota1, and valve also knew about it and they chose to do nothing about it...valve clearly said that the tricks in the game are avalaible to all and they are not illegal and thats the reason navi were not banned from the tournament like fnatic in cs:go... completly different tricks actually ... the world knew about the fountain hooks.. they were just excited to see them working in TI3 proffesional matches so well. On the other hand when fnatic used their boost everybody were just watching with their mouths open like " wtf is this shit?"
