The sunset colored orchids always tickles my fancy! :)

They are quite amazing bloomers that are often fragrant as well. They are easy to take care of and well worth the effort we put into them. The reward always makes them worth while! YES, I DO LOVE THEM TOO! ...and just depending on where your at can determine their ease of accessibility...here we have many orchid nurseries so I bump into them often...but the good news though is that they are always available online...so we can always purchase them and have them sent to us. I am hoping that you are able to find enough to satisfy your dendrobium nobile desire! HAPPY GROWING! :)

Thank you so much for joining me on my orchid adventures! ...and the toughest thing for me with dendrobiums is ensuring cold temperatures. I keep some indoors as well...so it is quite a hassle bringing them outdoors to "cool down" yet keeping a close eye over them and ensuring that they don't get too cold...other than that they are very easy to care for. I do notice that when I allow them the cooler temps they do give me the best blooms...I have had some that didn't bloom at all when I neglected to give them the cool down period. I have never mounted any of them to palm trees...but because their roots do love to attach to things I am sure you shouldn't have any problems...just as long as they aren't left in direct sunlight as that can cause them to burn and become very week. In Florida you can find them in practically every nursery you go to and even in some of your regular garden centers (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc...) so you should not have any problems finding them...but if you want specific varieties you may have to shop online to get the exact ones you want. I am hoping that you have great adventures with these Dendrobium Nobiles...as they are awesome orchids to have! HAPPY GROWING! :)

Hey there and yes I am back again. Just been really busy and dealing with some life issues but I don't think I will ever stop making videos. I grow mine in bark media and water often during the hot summer. During the summer they will usually get a daily misting...but during the heavy rainy season I protect them from getting too much rain as this can cause root rotting. During the winter time I allow them the drastic change in temperature...allowing them to cool down at about 50 degrees F. It is a good idea to protect them from extreme cold/frosty conditions and bring them indoors during that time. I fertilize about once very month. I hope this helps. HAPPY GROWING!

Thank you and the Oriental Smile is quite a stunning orchid...and although yours may not be fragrant...their magnificent beauty more than makes up for it!

There are many things that could be going on with your orchids...but you must first check to make sure you are providing it the grow conditions it needs...bright indirect sun light, good watering in the Spring and Summer months (with a little bit of dry time) and appropriate temperatures and regular fertilizing during the Spring and Summer months. If you are providing it everything it needs and it still doesn't perk up it may have some sort of infection. I would recommend checking its roots system and making sure it is not rotting. You may also want to repot it.

I think I got them at different locations...it’s been so long I can’t remember exactly where but I do believe majority of these I got from Apopka from an orchid nursery called Bloom World...but I am not positive. I will have to do more research and find out for you.
