This week Plant Lovers let's take a look at two nobile type orchids doing their thing! First is the species Dendrobium nobile which I bought this winter and which decided to bloom! I was quite surprised as I'd re-potted it just at the point when it would be thinking about producing buds and had assumed it would take a year to settle in! But no! Here it is, two buds four flowers and the most glorious colours! And second, my Dendrobium Euryalus, which is a nobile type, has decided to give me two distinct flushes of blooms; one in Sept and one in Nov - very early and then very late spring in Australia. It usually is in full bloom for me in November so I was curious about that! Tell me if you've have a similar nobile type double flushes - I didn't realise they could!
