Wow! Very nicely done. The skirt came out fantastic. I was dubious about adding corduroy to the collar, but that looks great too!

Regarding thick seams and household machines vs industrial.... in case you're interested, it's been my experience that Bernina will go over multiple layers of denim. I'm sewing on a 25 year old 1230, and it sales over those intersections. (I'm not sponsored, just many years of experience!).
