Dennis is wrong. Rickles did not swear. He says "Well, I'm working this..." (the piece of shit part was meant but not said), and he came out with no music on that show.

You should probably watch more of his videos, including the hour long video of outtakes from his show with Richard Lewis. The man swore. Maybe that wasn't the mainstay of his act, but the man swore. Hell, I saw him live and he swore. No big deal.

I meant that he did not swear on this particular occasion, which is true. I've seen most Rickles videos available and the fact is that he consciously avoids it when performing. He even said to Howard Stern "son of a bitch is big for me" - meaning, that's about as far I go. I don't have any problems with swearing but the man didn't need it to be funny.

As others have said, the referenced episode of "Dennis Miller live" is available on you tube and none of what Miller says happened. This interview is a clear example of how the mind can "remember" things that did actually occur. I don't think Miller is a liar, I never took him for the type, I think he just "remembered" what he wished Don had said and did and not what actually did. That is unless what he says happened, happened off camera, which I suppose is totally possible.

Just watched the HBO show Dennis is referring to. To have it said, Dennis has a bad memory. First, Rickles didn't come out to music not did he at any time use the bad language Dennis claims.
