Jordan. Pippen. And Rodman. The most unstoppable trio of basketball players ever assembled. Each had their role. Each knew exactly what it was. And each played it to absolute perfection. Thats called team basketball. No team today will ever come close to touching the aggregate talent of those three. And god damn was Rodman one helluva defender.
@@FuShengAlex in all fairness Hakeem did that to everyone though. He was the most skilled and unstoppable offensive big man of the 90s, David Robinson was the Spurs best shot blocker, and he couldn't handle anything Hakeem was doing, but nobody could. You just hoped you could do enough to make him work and hoped he had an off game.
@@unusedmillstones2380 but he's a great hustle player lol. He had Pippen and Jordan who can shoot the ball all he cares is defense and hustle rebounds.
and the stat padding, those rebounds they get are mostly uncontested because everyone is outside the 3 point line, and one guy sags off his man to grab an easy rebound, it's a joke. Then they want to act like a triple double in this era means anything. It's just bullshit ineffective stat padding. Anybody could grab those rebounds. And some these players are competing with their team mate to bolster their stats because they are the biggest contract on the team, it's fucked up.
@Ken Marko That is what impresses me so much, this was during an era of many legendary centers and power forwards and in a time when players actually boxed out and the lanes were far more congested than today and many more of those rebounds were contested where he had to actually out work someone for the rebound and out perform for it. Not like today where guys are sagging off their man to pad their rebound stats and nobody is there to contest because they are all outside the 3 point line
@@romanpipkin5573 6.7 he is, which was average nba height. And average small forward height. And Dennis Rodman outrebounded centers which had 6.11 average height. He is tall when you compare him to average guy but for role he had (to rebound) he had major disadvantage, but it didnt bother him
Is there any particular reason u said that he is the "Only" Player who gave his life to Basketball?? I can see many who gave their life to Basketball...
Rebounding, saving ball from out of bounds, tip backs, put backs, scrambling for ball, enemy intimidation and a massive energy full heart - Dennis for you!
Yeah didn't really appreciate him until he played in Chicago, we thought his career was over with all the bad press coming out of San Antonio and how badly they tried to ruin his reputation. But man, Phil Jackson was a genius going after him. He gave Dennis the perfect opportunity and Rodman did not disappoint. He was such a huge surprise to me. I didn't expect him to have the impact he had on the Bulls, I didn't think he would last the season, and definitely not past one season with the bulls. But 3 titles, That was special. There was Jordan, and then Pippen and then the supporting cast. But now there was this other guy that was a problem in a whole new way, and that was Dennis the Menace.
The intensity and the passion of this man is on a different level. I love the way this guy play ever since I was a kid watching him guard those huge players with an attitude of "I dont give a fuck, just bring it".
Jordan came back and when we thougt nobody could stop the bulls, came Rodman, and was the most powerfull team of the golden decade of NBA. I love this video, specially for the musical background. Thanks a lot!
Dennis will do everything just to help his team to WIN and DIVED the ball even he will RISK his life just to save the day for his team. What kind of determination and passion that DENNIS R. had. "LEGENED"
Rodman always left everything on the court gave his team everything he had and was the hardest working rebounder the sport has se en. When he went out on the court he had one mission and he succeeded.
Given how many scuffles and rough play that Rodman was involved in through his career and how many ejections, it is actually surprising that he never really got into many real fights
They wouldn't even allow him to play in this form of nba, because they would need him to take like 4-6 three pointers a game, and that simply wasn't Rodmans game.
You are my Idol Dennis Rodman I Salute you because you play basketball not because for money ,and to come a famous Person in this world . Im very very Proud and Happy to you because you are Real Person . I Salute you Dennis Rodman . Take care and Gidbless you and your family .
