Why would a patient need "appropriate hormone replacement therapy" after removing the tumor?? Are you saying this was necessary after the surgery or he had low T and need HRT for that?? That's confusing.

Many of these tumors leave permanent damage to the pituitary function. I had a tumor similar tumor to this Dr. My vision loss greatly improved but I am left with testosterone and cortisol replacement the rest of my life. Sounds bad but it beats the alternative!

Hello Dr.Daniel Kelly, I was diagnosed with pituitary adenoma 3 years ago with high level of prolactine and amenorrhoea, later I have been taking Bromocriptine for 3 years, after the first month of taking medicine, the prolactine return to normal level,but the tumor stay the same size of 22mm*17mm*19mm up to now, now the local doctor here suggested to have sphenoid operation,but I wonder if all blood figures controlled within the normal level, and the tumor stay the same size, can I keep conservertary treatment without surgery? hope to have your advise, thanking you a lot, kind regards, Maria Gu
