How to go from villain to hero in a single tweet… call out SMI. Their repaves and reconfigurations have historically been terrible. There’s obviously more to why that is, but they are so tone deaf. We all see it.
They aren't tone deaf. Capitalism works just like the jungle. It's great for the those who are the eaters and sucks for the eaten. The drivers and teams are the eaten and they don't like it, but too bad. That's the hand they are given in this business show. Leave if you don't like it. Go create your own racing league and tracks. But I think you are short just a few billion dollars. How did 23Xi invest this big money they claim they don't have?
@@phillycheese933but SMI isn't NASCAR. NASCAR and the teams could just tell them that they aren't going to the tracks, and SMI would be 100% screwed. Without the teams and NASCAR SMI would be royally f*****, as well as all the fans who go to those races. So SMI could just as easily be the eaten as well as the eater. So your metaphor fails spectacularly. If they really wanted to, NASCAR and the teams could just as easily find Independent tracks in the US, Canada, overseas, and Mexico and get a full schedule. Sure, you won't have as much room for attendance, but give ISC the money have them buy and renovate the tracks. And let SMI withher and die.
@sledgehammerk35 ironically, I completely got your point. However, you are misled and upset by believing the track owners need to be concerned outside themselves, when they do not need to be. They are not tone def to others. In fact, they hear very well, hearing and listening to their interests. They are the bigger dogs in this show. They have put out the most money and taken the bigger risks. Thus, they eat first and eat what they want to eat. What's left over, or what they don't want, others get to eat. What's the teams and drivers alternatives? They don't have one. It's just like the jungle..... some are destined to be eaten. It's the natural order. I'm sure you would gladly prefer to be in Nascar racing on a so so surface, as opposed to being in a nice building for your 9-5 grind. If not, go tell the owner of the business you work for that the work environment you work in needs to better suit your needs, and see where that gets you. It's time for me to eat. But even the sledgehammer persuades things to get in their rightful place, while also destroying and crushing others! Maybe the sledgehammer needs to be called out?????????
Actually I’m a pilot and I’m happy with my current job lol. No interest at all in working in or for NASCAR. Sounds to me like you’re just projecting. But since you are so obviously looking for a fight and have no real clue what my opinion is on anything, I’m just going to say have a nice day. Go outside and get some fresh air my dude. Sitting behind a computer screen and “calling people out” that you don’t know seems like a waste of time and energy 😂
Keep pissing off track owners,,,when you say bad things about the race tracks,,,fans support what drivers say and stop coming, less tickets bought less purse money for drivers,, it's about where you say it when you say it,,,but your cutting your own throat by coming on social media and complaining like that empowers you at that moment,,,,but in the long run it's not beneficial to anyone,,, NASCAR has been around a long time,,,if you keep chipping away at them ,,, before you know it there gone, just like your local short track
Gotta admit when I heard this break on Twitter my first thought was Denny Hamlin just trying to be this main face of NASCAR again but after hearing him explain it in detail and I assume that he’s telling the truth on most of these things. I can see why this would trigger me as both a driver and owner. This is the Denny that we remember and like. Not the one that thinks he’s living in some villain arc or something just don’t be a D&ck on the race track.
Denny what’s going on is a reflection of society as a whole. And we’re seeing a transition from the old guard to the new guard. The old guard just in it for the money “business” is starting to run into resistance from young and honest sport loving (wealthy) drivers and racing personalities. Keep being verbal and keep pushing for the good of the sport. The fans want better racing from the drivers and the facilities should match your calibers of professional talent. Good luck!
North Wilkesboro came back because Dale Jr loves it and he convinced people on social media that they now love it too (despite the fact that most of them never saw a race there).
Marcus went to Chase Elliot and said "Please beat my least favorite driver at Texas" If you win all will be good at Narcar and Texas will be great again. ( and so it was)
Oh yeah. Texas Charlotte and atlanta were my favorite tracks to attend. Over 200 mph diving into 1 at those tracks. Now i cant even watch that trash on tv.
SAY NUMBERS.. SAY WHAT IT COST.. WHY NOT JUST SAY WHAT IT ALL COST?.. WHY NOT SAY WHAT DRIVER CONTRACTS ARE.. SAY WHAT A DRIVER CONTRACT IS AND THE COST TO RUN A TEAM..
Denny is just trying his best to get fans like myself BACK! And New fans as well To watch them Qualify a person can just about pick the Top 10 @ the end of a race. Then this most recent mess over paving...I love the fact his emotions caused him to be himself, If thats what it takes so be it!! there was a time when owners & drivers didnt hold a dam thing back. Call it like ya see it Denny #3 will never be replaced but dam if we dont need the same on track and off personality that sees BS and calls it for what it is!!
the GT Races was good and problem fixed.. both partys acted like little kids and both look bad.. i never like Denny but alot of his talking points... i couldn't agree more with him...... but i still don't like him lol
When will the drivers and teams ever figure out that they are not the tops dogs of the NASCAR show? They eat AFTER Nascar and the tracks eat. Its the same reason Denny doesnt disclose to his employees how much he is making as the owner of 23xi. Denny is a narcissistic hypocrite. Whatever. Who cares about Denny. There are thousands of drivers who could replace him in the seat tomorrow.
