THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS VIDEO JUST SAVED ME. I've been searching the web for days because I can't find the optix denoise in my Maya 2023 and every search result only points me towards render settings but the problem is optix denoise is missing from my render settings and I couldn't find it anywhere. I did find it now because of your video and I would like to say that you are a legend. You deserve a sub!!
What do you think of the new optix update in arnold 7? Supposedly reflections and refractions are sharper (but I've been getting worse results). Also you probably should have mentioned that setting to box filter gives better results in optix.
One thing to note though is that aggressive denoising eats away details from the render. It's visible even in your render, chair and other areas loose details and have other issues. Usually denoising is used to clean the last 30% of the image
Even though I've been using this for months, I still learned something new! The only thing I don't like about Optix is the color clipping. Sometimes, It just ruins the look of a scene. You can even see it on the right side of this scene, on the windows especially. Still great Tutorial, and nice music choice.
is it possible to batchrender with optix denoiser?

I see lots of tutorials on this topic, but none tells you how to denoise lightgroups. You can't select lightgroups AOVs in the selection box. So how do you do that?
@SARKAMARI I turned on my gpu and used the optix denoiser, that allowed me to quickly denoise the viewport do I wouldn't have to contially render out my scene to know what it looks like.
So excited for you take on the rendering / lighting aspects! Thanks for consistently uploading gread educational videos. I always watch but don't always comment but thank you so much it's really appreciated
Thank you so much! This video was great. I love that you made sure it's useful for the future (showing which version you have so we know it migth work differently if we're watching this years after), and even explained sliders you didn't find useful yourself (the clamps) so we still know how they work. Fantastic explanation, thank you!
Hi Reza, lets say if I plan to extract 250 frames using optix denoiser, Do I have to do it one by one or theres a solution for a sequence? and yes I am now using GPU rendering as well at home got my 3060 Ti.... lol
This is definitely quick but one thing I noticed is that when I render out an animation, the animation is flickering. Does anyone know why that is happening?
@@sarkamari Got it. When I do GPU rendering with Optix, I try to render transparent materials on a transparent background (png or tif format) but there is still a lot of noise on those models. The noise doesn't show up on the transparent models when I have a non-transparent background (like jpg). Any idea why?
