Great review 👏 and a great looking bit of kit. just bought the stylish grey colour as a xmas gift for my sister. Looking forward to buying the extra speaker too. Its £499 in the UK
IF you are in search of a nice hifi system, I suggest you get this N10 available at discount and mate it with kef q150 and hear the brilliant sound ! Beats twice priced system easily. Try and hear !
The Denon CEOL RCD-N10 is no longer available for purchase through Crutchfield. For a current model, you will want to purchase the RCD-N12 in the link below, paired with KEF bookshelf speakers it does make for quite a potent system quality-wise!🤘🥰👏 www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc166/p_033RCDN12/Denon-CEOL-RCD-N12.html
Thank you for this. I have narrowed my choices down to this and one other and this helped me decide. (Because it shows how I can use my existing speakers).
hello, thanks for your review. I have two questions: 1)Does the FM radio station memories are kept even if you disconnect the stereo from the wall outlet? I usually disconnect all of my electronics when Im out of home. I listen to FM radio a lot! 2)Also, does the CD player has the "resume" feature? I mean, if you are playing a CD and for some reason you have to stop it and turn off the stereo, even disconnect it... Once you get back to playing the CD in the tray, does the stereo remembers the track and the minute and second you were playing? Or do you have to start playing the CD all the from the beginning? It's very important feature even more so when playing mp3 CD's with lots of files. Thanks in advance
The unit does not specifically mention that it can retain those settings and position when the power is unplugged and we have not had an opportunity to test. We recommend checking with Denon's support by calling 800-497-8921 to check if it can remember those details
Hi, thank you for the very detail review! I was wondering if the Denon N10 (or N11) can connect to a bluetooth speaker (Naim Muso QB) to stream cd? I would like to get the Denon N11 (without speakers) and connect to wireless speakers (which I have some at home) to play my cd collection. Is sit possible with this device or do I need another solution? Thank you very much
The Denon N10 model does transmit audio via Bluetooth, but the current version, the N12 does. You can find it here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_033RCDN12/item.html
Denon does not show support for CD Text from commercial Audio CDs; but compatible data tags stored on CD-R or CD-RW discs can show Title, artist and album names. You will need a separate phono preamp to connect a turntable.
Hi! I have The Powered Speakers Edifier S1000 MK II and I just need to listen to my CDs, I am thinking of purchasing the Yamaha CD Player S303 and I don't wanna spend more money in other devices, but now that I just watched this review, I am wondering which would be worthwhile alongside using my active speakers The DENON N10 or Yamaha?
This Denon unit cannot work with active speakers. It only has speaker level outputs that work with passive speakers. The Yamaha player is better for your setup and it can be found here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_022CDS303/item.html
Hi, Everywhere is out stock, this system has been discontinued? will be a new version? and a second question this can be connected to a turntable? thanks for the help!
Hi Juan David. The Denon CEOL RCDN10 is a current model. Sorry, there is currently no ETA on for it. But you can reserve one by ordering now. We won't charge you until we ship it.
Hi Eric. Really enjoyed your review and was hoping you could help me out with a few doubts. I really enjoy music but not to clued up on technical knowledge. I have a Audio-Technica DD Turntable, a Sony TC-K611S cassette deck and Dali Spektor 2 speakers. I was wondering if this Denon RCD-N10 can support my existing equipment!? Thanks
Hi Jon, sounds like you have a great setup so far! We're happy to help you match a new receiver with a bit more info. What model is your turntable? Do you have a phono preamp for it? Are there any specific features you need? Thanks!
@@crutchfield Hi Eric, thank you so much for the feedback! My Turntable is an Audio-Technica AT-LP5 Direct Drive, and no I don't have a phono preamp...I basically need a Turntable for my vinyl Records, a CD player that it has and would like to Connect my cassette deck if possible.
Thanks, Jon. With its built-in phono preamp, the Denon CEOL RCD-N12 is a better match for you here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc921/p_033RCDN12/item.html
@@crutchfieldHi Eric! Once agains thank you so much for your help and feedback. Yes this would seem to be what I am looking for, however I live in Portugal, EU and it does not seem to be available here... 😢 I've been looking at other makes like Marantz but don't seem to have an equivalent model... Thanks a million for your help! Keep up the great work Eric!
Thank you for enjoying our video! You are correct, the Denon CEOL RCD-N12 in the link below does feature an HDMI port for TV connection and does support the use of Banana Plugs for speaker connections. www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc166/p_033RCDN12/Denon-CEOL-RCD-N12.html
Hi Francisco, this is not a model we carried; but Denon does offer instructions for using Heos via this unit on pages 46, 106, and 73 of the manual here: www.denon.com/on/demandware.static/-/Library-Sites-denon_europe_shared/default/dw7767ee91/downloads/ceol-n11-dab-owners-manual-en.pdf You can also reach Denon Support here: www.denon.com/en-gb/contact-us.html
Hi sir, I was planning to buy a Denon RCD N9 rated at 65W + 65W paired with a Polk T15 Rated (20w to 100w per channel) with an impedance range of 6ohms - 8 ohms. Are these two compatible, and am i doing justice to both the amp and the speaker?
You can use the Denon CEOL RCDN10 as part of a multiroom Heos system. What sources are you looking to stream? What brand/model speakers do you want to power?
@@crutchfield thanks for the reply. I have a home 350 and I considered the ceol and a second home 350. Stereo pairing both 350s and playing music from cds and a usb stick. Finally i decided to get more traditional speakers and use them with my tascam cd player. I won’t get the ceol and I’ll sell the 350. Nothings can be as as trustworthy as the good old cables. Btw i bought the edifier 2000mk3. Connected to a tascam cd200
Good eye! The Denon RCD-N10 is equipped with four spring-post terminals to connect a pair of 4-to-16-ohm loudspeakers. The spring-post terminals will accept bare wire (up to 14AWG), but do not support the use of banana plugs.
@@crutchfield hi,i noticed N10 and N11 dont have it thats why i gonna buy N12 cause i have QD cables with banana plugs and only this way i can connect my Dali Opticon 2 mk 2,thanks for a video, greetings from Scotland✌️
You may want to consider incorporating the amp via Heos instead due to the headphone amp and since when using the headphone jack output, audio will no longer be output from the Denon's connected speakers. What is your exact setup? What model is your amp? What sources do you want to listen to in each zone?
You can connect but will need some additional gear. The Rolls MB15b ProMatch in the first link below takes a balanced input from pro audio gear and converts it to RCA line-level. Since it has XLR female inputs, you'll also need two of the Hosa Balanced 1/4" to XLR adapters in the second link for your 1/4" male connections, and an RCA cable to connect the Rolls to your DENON RCD-N10. www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc166/p_172MB15B/Rolls-MB15b-ProMatch.html www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc166/p_979GXJ235/Hosa-Balanced-1-4-to-XLR-Adapter.html
It sure does! It also supports a handful of other streaming services. Those details and more can be found on it here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_033RCDN10B/item.html
The Denon CEOL RCD-N10 does not include speakers and adds WIFi network streaming capability, Apple® AirPlay® 2, and HEOS. It has a front-panel 3.5mm headphone output.
You got it! The Denon CEOL RCD-N12 in the link below is the currently available Denon Compact stereo receiver with built-in CD player. DAB+ is not a feature on the CEOL RCD-N12, nor is HD radio which more common to the U.S.
DAB+ is not a feature on the CEOL RCD-N12, nor is HD radio which more common to the U.S. The Denon does feature a built-in AM/FM tuner with 50 station auto-preset memory tuning.
Very happy with mine... Except for the fact Optical 1 displays "Unsupported" when I play Netflix or Disney+ via my Samsung TV. I get no sound. Plays sound fine when it's normal TV channels though 😡
Maybe double check the receiver settings from there. If you got the receiver here, you can call our Tech Support as well. Their direct number is on your invoice.
Although its USB input doesn't support the direct connection of a computer, you could wirelessly stream music files stored on a Windows PC using the Denon HEOS app.
Denon does not specify an impedance compatibility range for the 3.5mm headphone output. You can set the gain (High, Mid, Low) of the headphone amplifier in accordance with the impedance of your connected headphones. In most cases, a dedicated headphone amp would work best with headphones rated above 200-ohms.
The price of it has changed a few times but its current price can be found on our web page for it: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_033RCDN10B/item.html
The model we offer is meant for use in the United States where DAB radio is not used. We recommend checking with a local Denon dealer if there is a comparable model that does have a DAB radio tuner.
