Are these still available or do you have any info on your modifications to the stator windings? Hard to find good modifications info on these style Denso units
@@rebuilderinabox Would those stator rewound units from J&N work for increasing amperage on these cases? I found these 200A stator units on eBay. 340-52007R I guess you’d have to gut your old case and press this in. Not 100% sure how that is done, maybe a 3 jaw puller? Anyway, thanks for the reply. If you have any additional info on this, it’d be greatly appreciated!
@@rebuilderinabox Definitely would prefer not to try and remove the stator but the J&N stator seems to be the only resource I can find online regarding an improved amperage on this case. If I could modify my original stator, I'd rather do that. Do you have any resources for modifying the stator on a 130mm Denso case?
Hi Mike, I just scored a working Denso 160amp alternator from a 2003 4x4 5.9L Durango for $30 to replace a 90 amp on my 99 straight 6 4.0L TJ. When you explained the casting marks I noticed this 2003 Denso did not have them. Why aren't the marks there? And where can I get replacement brushes for this alternator? Its the 2 pin connector type.
That's a newer type alternator. You're watching the wrong how to movie. See this link on our site alternatorstarterrebuildkits.com/product/nd11179in6324/
Can I order a rectifier? When I was involved in frontal collision, my amps blew out All fuses and my alternator stopped working. The diodes must have been shorted, It is a 130 amp alternator for 04 corolla.
Voltage regulator is in computer. See if battery charger will charge battery on battery terminals (14.5 or more) at battery terminals. Then at alternator connections with engine off. (output post and frame of alt). Try another alt if this charges battery.
Not if you don't have 2 to compare to each other. If you need to know which one you have, and you only have 1, which is what happens 99% of the time, it will be a problem you can solve by observing the casting marks. It would also be great if you could just read the sticker. But some have no OE sticker or it's not readable.
