This is ridiculous...the cost is so prohibitive with no advantage over current techniques.. actually. casting and luting to factory abutments is far far cheaper AND more accurate then ANY one piece framework which has to be fired in a furnace for porcelain application. This is simply a money grab.

It is about the number of crowns you can make in one day, i am sure you cannot make such a big ring !

@@Mhdlagha rubbish.. you could mill with cad cam in less total time and the material cost would be less... the cost of the powder is many times the cost of a metal disc... I have worked with these machines in the past. The cost of these machines is prohibitive and they do have their problems which they don't tell you about here.

@@electro1622 the technician that i work with is buying it next month, and he is so hyped about it , would you explain me what i will expect as a dentist?
@electro1622

@@Mhdlagha As a dentist you will probably see very little difference.. the main dif. is in the production and cost.. Some argue that the shapes these machines make can be more intricate but as we have seen in the last decade there is little that cad cam mills can't do these days so I see no advantage. Your technician will see his costs rise because of the cost of raw materials and also after time the powder layering system will have problems, they always do... a cost example is .. the price of 1KG of powder for crown and bridge non precious alloy starts at about 700 dollars... for a milling blank of the same material starts at 250 dollars... yes you can sinter a lot more from 1 kg of powder but it costs a lot more as well.... the other issue is cad mills go through milling burs BUT so does this.. as you can see it also mills the metal.. granted you mill less metal so they last longer but if you factor the cost of the machine it would take 5-10 years to make up the diff..... another issue is integrity and strength.. sintered metal is more grain structure compromised than milled or cast and it is simply not as strong so in tight spaces the integrity can suffer, especially in bar work, you will also see a difference in chrome partial frameworks and you will break a lot more clasps adjusting them...... there are a lot of other issues with these machines, they might be competitive in a decade or so but they aren't there yet.

@@electro1622 that only means to me that he will increase prices in the name of better quality and accuracy, which i won't notice?
