I'm so happy to see a mom going through school I normally can't find that on youtube for DH school. I want to look into DH school myself but was trying to figure out how to being a mom myself. So thanks for these videos
We survived our first week! Yay! My most overwhelming course during this first week was Embryology/Histology. We have a quiz over three chapters on Monday! I don't feel super stressed right now, but I definitely can see how just having one "off" day where its hard to get your brain in gear to study could result in falling way behind. Ah! Chapter readings!! My school calls them pre-lecture quizzes! They are just time consuming because they expect you to read 1-4 chapters, take notes, and then take the quiz!
This semester I had Tuesdays off, and most Fridays!! We were brought in Fridays a handful of times but Tuesdays I was always off! Next semester I for sure will have Tuesday off, but as of now I am in class mond, wed, thurs, fri.
Hi, sorry this is a pretty late comment but I was wondering if you are taking the 3 year program or the condensed program. i am preparing to take the condensed course (1 and a half years) and im getting worried lol
I’m taking the full program I decided against the accelerated program and to be honest, I made the right choice. At least for me!!! But my full program not sped up is only two years, not three! 🙂🤓
@@LizPodNich thank you so much for replying, i didnt think you would because the video is from a while ago. thank you, the program im taking is 18 months so its not too far off the 2 years, so i just assume its almost the same pace just a bit faster learning, or no days and weekends off. thank you for youre youtube videos though, youre very real and honest about what its like and whats going through your head !! being a mother and doing the schooling is a lot to balance so i just wanted to say i am proud of you and congratulations for everything you accomplished and are going to accomplish !!
Did you get in the first time you applied? My dental hygiene school I want to apply to only has one prerequisite that is a college course that I can take my junior year in highschool when do you suggest I apply?
I was accepted the first time I applied to this program, yes. Went in with a 4.0 GPA and history in the dental field with 100+ hours of hygiene shadowing, and I’m bilingual. but I got rejected from another school I originally wanted to get into! I missed the entrance exam score by 0.7% I’m not sure when you should apply, since our prerequisites are different!
every school is different! excluding my prerequisites, my school is approx 40k for the program. I completed all my prerequisites in two years and then my program (associates) is two years, then another year if I decided to get my bachelors! hope that helps! :)
