@@DA-jw4lx I had a tiny cavity in one of my molars that he could fill without even giving me Novacaine it was that little. It cost more than $600. he used composite instead of the mercury which is cool, and he’s extra expensive because he installed a negative pressure filtration system so people wouldn’t catch Covid at his practice, so he’s worth the extra cost. But I was shocked I’m going to have to ask next time how much before I let them do it. If I didn’t have credit cards I don’t know what happened because I didn’t have $600 in my bank account lol

This is what ppl need to be asking their representatives about.. it's not just payroll taxes or being mad that immigrants is getting something (which is not much). It's the rich corporations and doctors and insurance companies that are preventing progress while we fight over dumb stuff that keeps us distracted
@pandaluv25
@pandaluv25 Месяц назад
Not sure where you're getting your information from but the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE getting way more than you think. The are priority not the American people. The representatives you think we should be asking are part of the ones that keep the American people fighting. CORPORATIONS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, AND GOVERNMENT OFFICALS are a few of the ones we need to be looking at not necessarily doctors. I've worked in a few doctor offices and most of the doctors I've worked with are decent people. Most doctors don't handle much of the financial side of things. They have administrative staff and office managers that do that part. One office I worked in was a pain management office. The doctors needed the patient to give a urine or a blood sample to ensure the pain medication they were prescribed was in their system. Some patients sold them or a family member would take them for themselves or sell them. One day the office manager demanded that the receptionist make an old man that could barely walk give a urine sample instead of a blood draw. The receptionist told the office manager that the patient may not be able to make it to the bathroom in and out alone. The office manager said, "We do not get paid as much for blood as we get paid for urine. We need his urine sample". I'm not exactly sure why urine paid more than blood but she said it. Depending on the insurance you use it can be a huge process for the doctor to get paid. So if a doctor takes one of the more difficult insurance companies it's a headache to get paid. This is why some doctors offices don't accept certain insurance or why some doctors working in the same office accept an insurance while other doctors in the same office don't. I'll admit I don't know much about the dental industry but I know having crooked and crowded teeth cause more dental problems than if they didn't. Braces would help so many dental problems and ultimately help with your health in general. I have yet to find any insurance that cover or help with the cost. In most states medicaid will pay for minors but after 18 they don't. Most insurance companies claim braces are "cosmetic" and therefore they refuse to cover braces. It's all a huge scam. Most people just don't necessarily see the entire situation for what it is.

This is absolutely ridiculous and so real. We’re leaving the US in the fall for full time travel (kids are out of the house) it’s outrageously expensive to simply BE here. I hated leaving my “good job” but the payoff just wasn’t it. We’ve gotten rid of everything and reduced our bills to nearly zero. We’re now traveling the states one last time before we go. I hate hearing people talk about “go move to a third world country if you don’t like it here” as if places within our country don’t resemble a third world country. It’s sad and upsetting, but choosing a better life for yourself and your family should be paramount. It’s time to open our eyes to other opportunities, this is a great wide world we should all be able to experience

Many places in the U.S are worse than these “3rd world” countries. I work with a lot of immigrants and they tell me they only come here for the money, typically so they can send it home to their families. But they actually hate it here, that it’s miserable. Something a lot of them cite is the lack of community and, ironically, the lack of freedom. It’s funny how heavily U.S’ propaganda mirrors North Korea’s. I’ll leave it at that.

They are used to caring for patients with no insurance and have their own dental plans that you pay monthly and they offer affordable payment plans. Jefferson dental is one that is most of our hoods here in Dallas. They are in other states also. Look them up the offices are clean and the professionals are great along with the prices. The "deep" clean specifically refers to your cleaning out your pockets, apparently. It's an absolute scam. They no longer even offer a regular cleaning anywhere. I was going to Wal-Mart to get dental care. They were less without using insurance than the dentists who took my insurance. They also didn't try to scam me. One tooth my first dentist was going to fix was going to cost 3k. Paid by my insurance and out of pocket. Wal-Mart fixed it for $150. Sadly, they are closing forever in a few days. Wal-Mart Corp. never really gave them a chance imo.

I agree 💯 with you. I had dental insurance through work and had to get my wisdom teeth removed and still had to pay 60% of it out of pocket. For my kids, I do their check ups every 6 months, but I just take them to a different dentist. Most dentist offer free cleaning and check ups for new patients. They hardly ever have cavities, and the couple times they have I just paid to have them filled myself. Ive have saved so much by not having to pay for dental insurance.

Not to mention, the quality of health”care” in the U.S only continues to nosedive. “Professionals” that don’t know an eyeball from an elbow, are rude and nasty, many of whom barely speak English (whether they’re U.S born or not). When I was a tween, I went in for a sinus infection and was explaining my symptoms, one of which being vertigo. It took 10 minutes of arguing back and forth and him concluding vertigo was just a word I “made up”. I was 11-13 years old, and this grown man was arguing with me about a symptom as simple and basic as vertigo. Absolutely pathetic.

Now what I am seeing and hearing is that some Dentists are wanting all the money upfront and for you to file with your insurance on the backend. That can take several days. For a European this sounds crazy. Living in the UK , but came from Hungary I still going back to Hungary for a dentist. Despite that UK has national health service founded from taxpayers money, the last 14 years of conservative government ruined down really badly and especially dental care is almost impossible to get. No enough dentist, long waiting list and in my opinion they are very poorly trained. In my case for example they would not touch my mouth, because of the risks about my illnesses and the medications I get. In Hungary they do everything properly and even to go private is far cheaper than in the UK. As you said it’s rather worth to go & stay there + get the dentist (or as a matter of fact any medical procedure) done.

That was a very enlightening video, and I’m glad that some people can afford to do that to get their medical work done! I just thought that I’d throw this out there for those who can’t afford to travel out of the USA to get medical help: In the USA there are (usually community based/nonprofit) lower cost medical/dental/vision/combination clinics for those who have medicare/medicaid/some insurances/or have a low enough income level… If you don’t have an eligible insurance it seems that if you bring in proof of your household income you’ll pay on a sliding scale fee, and I’ve read reviews of ones in my state where the clinic charged less than $100 for some dental work that the person’s regular dentist would have charged $3,000-4,000+ for. These low income clinics also seem to have a “good faith estimate” where they’re supposed to give you a paper copy of before the procedure, and if the final cost is over something like $500.00 more than the quoted price you can contest the price with your good faith estimate. Hopefully this can help other people who can’t/won’t leave the country for medical care.

They say “it should be” But why? “It’ll cause problems later on” Okey-dokey……I’m now 72, when are these problems gonna start? My brother owned a dental lab for 40 years, he couldn’t stand dentist because he knew they were crooks. Lately one told me there’s a fissure crack, needs fixed…..yeah, ok….was told that about 🤔…..20 years ago? Dentist, car dealers, Italian restaurant’s…..crooks with a license to steal.

The last time I had dental insurance it was through my job and I think I paid nine dollars a month for it and I still don’t think it was worth it. Between the deductibles and the maximum they would pay out and the fact that I didn’t really need the services that they covered I was just getting cleanings at that time. Then years later I went to some corporate chain dental clinic and for less than $200 they had some plan for the year where you get two cleanings for $85 each, x-rays are included, the exam is included, if you need anything else done you get a 20% discount. I did the math and since normal dental cleanings were like $185 this thing paid for itself as long as I went twice even if I never needed anything else from them. My current dentist is amazing, he’s in Massachusetts and he’s a little expensive but his practice has a negative air filtration system so people don’t catch airborne diseases there, it’s totally worth it to pay a little extra to not get sick. I didn’t buy his dental plan because they charge something per month for it, and I don’t think I’ll drive there often enough to use it. And their cleanings are less expensive than what the chain charged.

I've been thinking about it. Most basic need services seem to have been hijacked by the greediest of greedy predators, so we have to go elsewhere to get what we need. It is shameful!!!

I got a REALLY good cleaning in Colima Mexico for $30. A crown cost me $400 instead of $1500 in CA. I automatically go to the dentist every time I leave the country. To be fair, my American dentist told me years ago that dental insurance was a scam and not worth buying. He also told me he’d seen some very good work from Mexican dentists.

My friends mom went to Mexico I think, for dental work to replace really old fillings from when they where still made with mercury, they wanted like 1500 a tooth and she needed a good few done, she spent that same amount for 1 tooth and went had a vacation and got them all fixed up!

Medical community in America has become a disturbing death cult. Getting a dentist who won’t intentionally mess your mouth up is near impossible. I have over a dozen awful dentists stories. Once I figured out they work in a web like spiders I realized I’d be better off learning how to treat my teeth myself. I’d rather die than go to a dentist - 36 years never met a good one. That says everything I need to know.

Any insurance is a scam. Car insurance doesn’t pay for everything. Home owners insurance doesn’t pay for everything. Life insurance, medical insurance, etc. It is there to help if you need help, just as is Dental insurance.

My partner and I wanted to visit Mexico to see if it would be a good place for us to retire instead of the United States. Not only did we get dental care inexpensively from a very talented professional our dog did too. We only paid something like 30$ for a cleaning for each of us. But the savings on the dog's teeth cleaning is what made it so cost effective to spend money to go there have a vacation and bring our dog. We were able to get our dog's teeth cleaned for 50$ not 500-1k like in the states for that service. They checked her kidneys and gave her anethesia and cleaned her teeth properly for that tiny amount. She cost 200.00 to bring her with us and it was completely worth it.

Exactly, can you even trust the service your getting, and do they STAND BY it if something goes wrong, then what? You have to travel back. Plus, you have to buy plant tickets, hotel, etc to even get there, that's not cheap, then pay for the service they are giving.

If you find a dental lab where everything is made, you’ll find that some will do the work for way less. It’s technically not legal but way cheaper. Lab guys don’t need a dentist to know what to do for appliances (dentures, crowns, mouth guards etc)

It depends on a) what coverage you have and b) if the provider you choose accepts that coverage. I used United Concordia and made sure to stay in network. The out of pocket cost was reasonable if I did...far from it if I didn't. $1900 sounds like you needed a tooth extraction or surgery which is major stuff. I use a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide (see online for the right amounts of each) in order to prevent teeth issues...that and I stay away from sugar:+) God bless~
