It seems like people are too embarrassed to talk about about poor dental health, so we're stuck with so many questions. I am having all my lowers removed next week and I'm absolutely terrified. Seeing others talk about it makes me feel a little less alone. I wish you all the best in your own journey!!
@@himaintenance77 I've been dealing with this since I was 15 years old. And they've come a long way with the look of dentures, people don't even know I have dentures on ..
I think this has been the most helpful video I've seen about this. I'm new to dentures and I've been struggling with finding a way to not have to go to the dentist and get them relined every two weeks. That visit costs me $75 every time. I'm going to try this one out and I'm going to use your tips. Thanks so much for not being too embarrassed to show us how to do it.
Thank You so very much for this video. I'm 63 and have had the same bottom dentures since my late 20's! I've tried creams and pastes and liners and stumbled upon your video. This is something I can do!! I probably need new teeth, but they are sooo expensive. I wish blessings upon you and I have subscribed to your channel in hopes of finding more helpful topics! Thank You and Be Well! :)
I can't begin to tell you how grateful i am for you sharing this information. I just can't bring myself to do this in a dentist office. Between my anxiety and the gagging, I walked out the dentist office with my dentures in my hands and no reline.
@@brookegoldsberry9758 The assistants at my dentist office can't do my relines properly. My first soft reline was so bulky it bulged out way past my lips, and then they ruined it trying to hard reline it so I had to have my dentures remade. I do my own relines and adjustments now and the assistants don't touch my dentures ever again lol. They can be miffed about it all they want but after two massively botched relines, they're not ruining my dentures again.
Excellent how-to, dude ! I have had my dentures for 2 years. I just did a reline with prosoft. After watching your vid, I had the balls to try it. I bought a two pack, which was good cause I messed up the first time. What you did different than all the others was to let the consistency get tackier than most. That was the key to success ! Thanks man !
Consistency of the product will either make it or break it. Trial and error defines when we know when to place it in our denture. Thanks for the feedback!
I know you made this a long time ago . Wow thank you for being so open and for taking the time to show us me I am very very grateful . I think it takes balls to be so open and I am so grateful to you for for being so open and showing the entire process. !!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for doing this I know how uncomfortable this probably way but you have helped a lot of people, especially me. Don’t ever say your sorry this is part of life. Thank you
THANK YOU! New to the denture game but even at 63 sometimes You need someone elses help - YOU gave that to Me. Thanks Dude. minutes from doing this with the Reline-it kit I got and actually feeling pretty confident. YOU SIR are a GREAT TEACHER!!! Patient, kind, encouraging, all the traits of an Educator. You taught this old Man something Tonight...thanks ❤
I have Crohn’s disease and it destroyed every tooth so now dentures. Thank you for showing me how to do this. I’m still feeling down about loosing all my teeth but you’ve made my transition better. Bless you
So I found you after I put my reline it in. I watched it, paused it and tonight I’m redoing and going to follow you while I do it over. And I just realized you only have three digits on your left hand. I have been super focused on everything you are doing. Great video and tattoos, thanks for the tips they are much appreciated 😊
It’s nearly impossible for me not to Austin powers his lack of fingers. I appreciate him sharing his experience, but somehow always insist on pointing out things Austin powers would point out.
I’m feeding my baby while watching this and your dog scared the hell out of her 🤣. She was crying/screaming for like 2 minutes. I felt bad but I couldn’t stop laughing lmao On the other note, thank you for the good info, it definitely helped me a lot!
2:15am First I like to say thank you. Ian so proud and in awe of your courage. I only have an upper denture and I feel embarrassed about it. God forbid anyone seeing me without my denture! Thank you for the showing us the complete process. You don’t even look like you don’t have teeth as soon as I take mine out I look like a 90 year old grandma. Lol. Thanks again.
Hey, thanks for the video! It is the best one I saw so, I did my first reline was with you. Success! My upper denture fits sooooooo much better! Sending you love and a million thanks!
THANK YOU!! I've now tried 3 times to get my denture to fit and finally I got it right. I so much appreciate you helping with this. The instructional video shows a denture without a pallet but mines just like yours so I had a hard time having enough for my gums and pallet. Your EXTREMELY handsome and it definitely didn't hurt getting to see you. Again I so much appreciate you.
I have found that the only way to get a uniform fit is to pour in liquid state as quickly as possible. 6 seconds mixing, 6 seconds pouring. If you have to spread it like a paste, you waited too long. Only once the liquid is evenly on the denture, you can then let it sit for a moment to firm up if you prefer.
Exactly! He's waiting too long and letting it set too much. You should pour it in after it begins to thicken and spread it out. Put it in your mouth press firmly and let the remaining setting action happen there. It's setting too much before he's putting it in the denture. That's why he has to press and hold it for so long on that upper. I appreciate he's showing his method to teach others how to do it, but I would hate for someone watching this to let the reline material set too much and then have a difficult time getting it to shape to their tissue because the material is too hard. Another note, when you're ready to apply to the lower, always put your upper back in and then put your lower in. Close teeth and bite together and let it set against the upper for the correct bite! Don't take the upper out and press on the lower to set it without the upper in place. I'm was a dental technician of 30 plus years.
Thank you so much for making these! I watched them all. I just turned 22, and am getting my full mouth extractions done in 5 days. I'm really nervous, mostly because I have a paralyzed stomach, so I'm not sure what I'm going to be able to eat. I'm also worried that the dentures will make me gag; that's why my mom doesn't wear hers. The more soft liner they put in hers the worse it became, so hopefully I don't have the same issue. I used to be a pharmacy tech, and I just want to say you did a pretty good job your last video explaining the medications! I'm going to attempt not to take the norco, I've been able to avoid taking it for every surgery I've had, but I have a feeling I might have to take the L on this one. I have no idea what to expect pain wise. You also mentioned nightmares in the first video; I've been having dreams where I can't bite down correctly, haha. Anyways, I appreciate you sharing the journey, and I'm glad the new teeth are treating you well!
Hello I'm a first-time viewer I just wanted to say thank you so much for how clear and concise and detailed your video was I appreciate it more than you can know I have needed to realign my dentures for almost a year now but I moved to a new State lost my dentist I've have been terrified to do this myself but I'm to the point where I have to do it because I have been going a week at a time without my dentures hiding out in the house during this pandemic thank you thank you thank you this was one of the best dentures how to videos I've ever seen I appreciate it so much look forward to more . Stay safe and healthy and God Bless!
I had been searching the web for different dental adheasive tips for my mother, when I ran across your video. I will be sharing this with her, thank you so much for posting. By the way your absolutely gorgeous and you give off such a warm vibe!!
Great tutorial on reline-it for dentures. I lost my instructions and found your video. Your step by step guide with explanations, really helps. Thank you.
Thank you sooooo much for sharing. I haven’t used this product yet but I am going to over the weekend. I really appreciate your extra tips and just going thru the whole process. Thanks again!!!!
You are absolutely precious and patient beyond words and thank you for doing this video. I had my top teeth out about the same time you did this year, I still have a 7 bottom teeth in the front, and am going to pick up my partial tomorrow, I put it off cuz of the illness situation now since I'm full time caregiver to my 86 year old precious Mom, didn't want to be around anyone I didn't positively have to. Could you let me know please how long did this relign last, I bought 2 boxes while they still had it at Walmart also this past week so I'd have it for the future. I've already had a relign by the dentist actually when I went back for my first post appoinment, but as my gums are still receding, it's hard to tell how many more times I'll have to "relign" them again so I thank you for this video.
Still in my immediate dentures. Needless to say that during this Covid-19 it has been impossible to get in to see my dentist for a soft re-line. I’ve become quite good at doing it myself and have had good results. After finally getting in to see my dentist for a re-line, I think I’ll stick with doing it myself. They always seem to apply too much material making my dentures thick and bulky. They do a horrible job trimming off the excess, and they never seem to pay attention to matching up my center line of my uppers and lowers. I get better results doing it myself.
Im new with my temporary.. I have been eating baby food it’s horrible I saw your video and thank you from the bottom of my heart .. ❤ but it’s good to have people like you helping us .. to see what works best for us ..
Thank you for doing the top. Everyone else does only the bottoms. I was afraid there wouldn't be enough for the top if I did the bottom, so thank you so much for that.
Thank you so much for doing this video! I appreciate how you explained and demonstrated the steps of the process so clearly without rushing through. The tips to get rid of the "nail salon flavor"🤢 are as good as gold in my book! I do have a question for you and/or other commenters. ADHESIVES. Recommendations, thoughts or tips would be welcome and helpful.
You are awesomely fantastical at these videos. Bless you for sharing such personal information and huge help. I’m slated to have 8 remaining upper teeth out which are in bad shape under a very old broken down bridge. I won’t have any IV sedation and extremely fearful with high anxiety put it off now two times. This seems like a lot of care and upkeep but for the trade off of better health.
Hi first I’d like to say thank you for being sooo thorough in this video bc I’m so new to this and (while I will be watching it again while my packets are in the frig an freezer bc of myself being insecure)I feel 99% confident in applying this reline. 🎉
Thank you for making these, a fantastic series. Are these still your temporary dentures after a couple of years, or have you now moved on to permanent ones. I might have missed something.
For the bad taste I just use a cough drop. I put my teeth in and wait a few minutes then pop in a cough drop, taste is gone. A Jolly Rancher or other hard candy would work fine as well.
Amazing job, you look great. It's obvious you had a good Dentist! Thank you, I'm going through hell right now because the dentist didn't care about me once he got his money from insurance/and out of pocket payments. I'm working with my insurance and going to another dentist, which is hard to do once one dentist has already started the your work! Something to think about, if anyone is thinking about changing dentist. Do your home work first.
Thank you soooo much for this video. Have done relines a few times in the past, before finally switching to my permanent set. It was a pain in the a$$ the way the instructions say to do it. Watching you do this process and the tips you gave, are going to make it so much easier this time around. I'm excited to use your tips for the taste. Seemed like forever for it to go away, no matter how many times i did the baking soda soaks
DO IT! Changed my life as well as my family. Health as well as being able to smile again. Priceless. Its not the old school dental this is next to painless.
How long does this last for and hold your denture in? I just had my teeth out a little over a month ago and I’m having a really hard time finding something to keep them in and being able to eat with them in. Thank you so much for your video
I just got my full set in July and I am going through glue like crazy. I need to get a soft reline but cant until January. If I can just do it myself I totally will 😂 thank you so much for letting me find this
You did a awesome job in your video so Thankyou kindly....I’ve had my dentures over 6 months and I haven’t worn them which is so so bad now sadly there loose so I bought this to try 😭😭😭😭it’s so good to know I’m not alone ...because it really feels like you are in the beginning of this journey 🥰🥰
I'm about a year and a half with my dentures and learn things all the time. Where they're loose, I use cushion grip or a sof reline from Walmart until I become eligible for a hard reline with my dentist. Best regards :)
Thank you for doing this tutorial, as I lost the instructions. Lol But you mentioned that if we have any questions regarding dentures. So years (years) ago I had previously used this product, and I need to do it again. However, my question is: Do you have any suggestions on how to get the old material off/out of the dentures prior to doing the reline again.
New subscriber 👋🏼😊- full mouth extractions 11 days ago w no immediate dentures. I’m planning on taking a trip to Mexico in a cpl months to see what they can offer me there. Q- that bottom product really appeared to be too set up already when you placed it in the denture. Was it...?
Ordered mine on the 6th from Amazon and it hasn’t even shipped yet )it’s the 13th)!😩 I am at one month tomorrow with my new teeth and I ordered and used a denture-fit kit at two weeks. needless to say it was way too early bc my gums have changed a lot since then and now I need a new liner until I can get one at the office (scheduled for the 28th). I can’t eat with them bare, they will not stay in...so I have to put something in them to get me thru this next 2 weeksso I’m gonna use this. It’s the cheapest product with good reviews. Anyway, Thank you for the tutorial. Im confident I can use it successfully now. 😊
Parabéns pelo seu vídeo, sou Antônio do Brasil. Gostaria de saber se esse produto continua firme na sua protese, pois seu vídeo já faz 3 anos. Favor responder, obrigado
Hi there, thank you for this video! I have a messed up upper due to losing part of my alveolar bone due to implant infection so I can't get a denture to seat properly. I'm going to try this, but was wondering if I use gloves, can I use my fingers to spread it? Or would it stick? I'm also worried about the smell, the dentist put in a soft reline and the smell was so bad I didn't want them in the same room, more less in my mouth? Are there any products that don't smell so much?
I'm about to get full mouth extraction and dentures. My 2 questions are how long do these last and what do you think is the best home denture reline kit?
Great video, thanks for strait forward instructions had last teeth out over six months ago, so guns have shrunk back, was having bit of jaw pain probably bite is out, dentist not taking anyone in at moment, so I'm gonna give it a go, how long does it last? Thanks Again
Also do you have any advice for STABIL-DENT LOWER denture stabilizers I purchased a pair bc I’m willing to try just about anything to keep my bottom plate from lifting, slipping, etc… Idk about you or anyone else but all the adhesives I’ve used makes my mouth soooo dry and I’m sick of the sticky junk all in my mouth and on my bottom denture!! Thanks ahead of time
Do you have to use adhesive cuz the dentist did my liner and I still have to use I adhesives and my bottom denture still doesn't want to stay down when I eat . I thought getting all of my teeth pulled out of my head and getting dentures would be a good idea so far it's been the worst idea I've ever had. Every time I try to eat either food will get stuck in between the dentures or my bottom denture will not stay put so I can win for losing lol when I do get that good suction on my bottom denture something will end up in the top one 🤦🏻♂️ and implants are $3,800 if somebody would have told me the issues that people have with their bottom dentures I would have definitely told him not to pull all of my teeth no matter what to leave something there for my bottom denture to click on to cuz I did have a couple good teeth on the bottom , my dentist didn't think so but of course he's going to think that when he's pulling $100 a tooth I just really wish I knew then what I know now 🤬
I’m having bite issues, it don’t line up just right seems off to the left a little, I got the reline it in hopes of correcting that a lil till my dentist comes back in the office or things open up again! Any tips on this for correcting the bite, even tho the fit is bad too lol but anything has to be better than using so much freakin adhesive
Omg I just bought my reline for my bottoms and I just tried them out after soaking them for 30 to 45 minutes from hot to cold water after being careful with the temp I just plopped the bottom in and it's literally staying in place while I'm talking and it seems to fit alot better than just using adhesive
I came across your video as I got new dentures but they move about. I'm finding it hard to eat. Does this make dentures tighter fit? I want to get it and would like some advice from you plz. Thank you.
How long have those liners lasted for you? The last liner kit I purchased was denture fit and I was getting mold build up behind the liners it was horrible and the kit was $50 and maybe got 3 months of use out of it but I know liners are ment to be temporary.
Would like to know how long this relining will last? and The taste after, which you say tastes like fingernail polish, is that a toxic ingredient that you're dealing with?
The assistants at my dentist office just can't do my relines properly. My first soft reline was so bulky it bulged out way past my lips, and then they ruined it trying to hard reline it (idk why they thought that would be a good idea on immediate dentures) so I had to have my dentures remade. I do my own relines and adjustments now, and the assistants don't touch my dentures ever again lol. They can be miffed about it all they want but after two massively botched relines in a row, they're not ruining my dentures again. 😅
Does this help if you have bitten a hole in your top denture? I have a few teeth left on the bottom to pull and they are sharp. I have worn a hole in my denture. I purchased it at affordable dentures some places in the denture are alot thinner than others. Is there anything I could use to fix this until I can get my other teeth pulled to get a whole set?
