Denver Broncos Have Real Answers To All the Doubt 

I don't hate Bo Nix, & for what it's worth, I'm not seeing this huge groundswell of "hate" that I constantly hear fellow Bronco fans complaining about. In the immediate aftermath of the draft I heard a number of draft geeks expressing skeptical opinions, but that happens with a lot of players, especially quarterbacks, & in particular...those who look like they might be a reach in the frst round. I saw similar things said about Josh Allen when he was drafted. I have probably done more actual research on Nix that 99% of the people who are commenting on his future prospects. The best thing he has going for him is faith from his head coach, & I don't under estimate that. But there are some things about Nix that almost nobody in the Denver media or the RU-vid channels ever mentions. There ARE some concerns about hos his game translates to the NFL. Ignoring these factors while proclaiming things like the idea that he's going to be the slam dunk day one starter may not be helpful in his development. We've seen similar proclamations before, with other QBs...& they didn't end well. I'll take a wait & see approach with cautious optimism.

I guess I have missed the Bo Nix hate, half the Bronco fans I know already have him in the Hall of Fame.

@@BuckStricklandhatespropane Anything that deviates from a theme the fan base in general comes to accept is termed as hate. There is no logical reason anyone actually "hates" Bo Nix...or the Broncos...simply because they work in the "national media". Us vs. them is a time tested formula for marshaling agreement. Nix was considered a 2nd round talent by most scouts. That doesn't make them right, but neither does the fact that Sean drafted him. i have a healthy respect for Payton's viewpoint, but some people seem to think he is incapable of a mistake. Weirdly...the same people who are lining up behind his opinion of Nix en masse, are almost entirely convinced he chose a loser in Jarrett Stidham when he leaped at the opportunity to sign him in free agency with the very first move he made as head coach. These same voices in lock-step unison both denigrate Stidham who has shown he can play in the NFL & praise Nix who has not. I find that...ironic.

Yep, they're afraid of going out on a limb. Except in a negative way. I mean, they don't seem shy about saying the Broncos will be garbage and Bo Nix was not a good pick.

Do you really think the national media has time to spend researching individual teams? That would be virtually impossible for any of them. Given the logistical limits on time for somebody in this business, I am mystified that fans have this strange sense of indignation that they aren't doing this. There should be no expectation of that happening. Having said that, the local media guys in Denver spend virtually no time researching the Broncos either. Their reporting is indicative of that. In point of fact, almost none of them do any actual "reporting"...by which I mean digging up real stories. Journalism used to be about doing that, but "journalism" is a dinosaur now...especially in sports. It's almost entirely been replaced by social media sensationalism meant to drive ad revenue. A tiny few real sports journalists remain, but they are few & far between & rarely does anybody even mention then anymore because they aren't the guys who are generating histrionic reactions in the fan base. Most of what passes for sports journalism or even "reporting" these days is just regurgitated tripe that gets repeated by the echo chamber. This is one reason I enjoy Ben's channel. I disagree with him on almost everything he says. I think he is wildly out of touch with the realities of how long it takes to rebuild this team, & I put little stock in most of his over-the-top predictions. But he has one thing almost none of the rest of them do...he's utterly believable & sincere in what he believes. I don't doubt for a second that he's loyal to this team, which is a breath of fresh air. He's a totally hopeless homer...& in a sea of negativity it's nice to smile a bit when you listen to somebody talking about the Broncos. It takes me back to a time long ago when the rallying cry in Denver was always..."wait till next year".

Absolutely great point! Prognosticators had Rams barely winning last year and they made the playoffs, they had Texans barely winning and they made it a few rounds into playoffs! Let’s goooooo
