It’s absolutely not closed. They need to add 2 guys to their bench.

And yes as a Thunder fan I must admit, they would’ve breezed through us aswell. Legit all Denver has to do is get a good backup big man, and a solid vet. And they WILL be back next year🤣

A lot of people neglected this, because they were last season's champions but it's important to note that the nuggets finished dead last in the regular season in 3 point attempts. Yes even below the Orlando magic and the Detroit Pistons. Effeciency is not a problem with the nuggets but offensive creation is. Improving the bench should be number one priority even if it means trading their pick. Additionally the 3 point shooting output needs to increase next year. The defence is still elite. Bruce Brown and Jeff Greeen were huge losses. They need more offence.

Minnesota beating Denver actually makes the Lakers look worse. You couldn’t beat the 2nd best team while Murray was off in the series and LeBron and AD played well.

Crazy that they're in the luxury tax. Not much of a bench, 1 allstar. Murray definitely could be an allstar. But Porter jr( who i like) but gave them nothing on offense in this series. played decent defense, but thats a max contract. He has to be alot better, so much talent. He needs to step up his game.

Denver had to lean waaaay to heavily on their starters. Those dudes just ran out of gas. You can’t have only one or 2 dudes that you trust coming of your bench. Minnesota exposes their lack of depth, their lack of physicality, and their lack of plan B when the Joker Murray 2 man game isn’t rollin. I’ve been a Porter Stan since day one but I feel it’s time to consider moving on from him if you can and try to get you some depth and a more defensive minded wing to start at the 3.

Nuggets showing why TWO rings are much harder than ONE... good season but they got some work to do the West has some up n coming teams that are going to make it a bloodbath the next few years.

The window may not be closed but with The TWolves, Mavs, OKC, being top teams, it's going to be much more competitive. MPJ is a disappointment. When Denver gave him that contract, it was very questionable. That contract is becoming a liability. They better keep drafting good...

i truly believe mpj wasn’t there mentally due to what his brothers have going on..one got sentenced to 6 years in prison and the other got kicked out the league for life..he apologized to the team after the game 7 loss and said it was on him

As a GSW fan watching without a horse in the race, I think MPJ totally failed the Nuggets in Game 7. His weak energy and slack effort on defense regarding rebounding and protecting the rim hurt deeply. He is definitely not a max player, all height and no drive to dominate.

They just have to not freak out, maybe get a good vet. And run it back with this team. All their young guys should be better next year and in the end it comes down to 8 players who get to play. They don't need a huge change

Immediately after the Bucks won their ring and Giannis had a 50 piece in the finals, we all thought he was the best in the world and that they were going to win another ring. After the warriors won 2 years ago, we thought their future was bright b/c of their young players. Some even thought the lakers would continue to dominate after their 2020 ring. None of these teams have come close to a ring since. Seems like after every ring we all think that team will be a dynasty in the future but they didn’t. Not to say the Nuggets championship window is closed, but nothing is guaranteed is the point.

Why are media heads saying this, that it's naive to think their window is closed? You can't be sure one way or another. I just know the previous 5 champions have either been in the play-in, missed the playoffs entirely, or bounced in the first round. We're in an era of a highly competitive league. Everyone that plans to contend has to be very mindful of that.

I think they certainly need another defensive big that can stretch the floor and another realiable perimeter player that can pair up with Joker on the pick and roll when Murray is off the floor. KCP will most likely opt out since its a weak free agent class and he will be looking for his last big pay day. If they run it back Denver is still a top contender but they need to improve their bench, the lost of reliable bench players in Brown and Green certainly was felt by them in this season.

No one stepped up to help joker Murray other guys were scared got manhandled. Wolves played hard i can't believe porter Gordon not even 15 points let alone anyone else Murray or joker not to blame they need more pieces to compete for a championship

AG has promise if he can change his style and role when the team realizes that they have to adjust; game 4 and game 5 showed that. His defense was decent but I don't think he was prepared when against multiple bigs. Not sure about Mpj as he was so different between series. Kcp had some very good and very bad games but showed his hunger for a win more than even Jamal those last two games. Jackson and Holliday did somewhat well but I can't tell how much that matters when it is so sporadic. It looked like Malone should have incorporated the bench more in the regular season, instead of placing almost everything on the starters. That caused a major issue similar to the Lakers with all of that rust. Braun I think could be viable if they use him more. They definitely need another big because the team was practically useless without Jokic on the court and they need more options when in the paint against a team like the wolves.

Controversial but they need to trade Murray for a true tier 1 all star. Joker can't do it all himself against the strong teams in the West. Risk of following the Bucks into first round exits in future years if they dont ante up. Go get Donovan Mitchell for Murray, and some role players for the bench.

Calvin Booth’s moves in 22-23 won them their first championship but his lack of moves in 23-24 caused them to only get to the second round. He will have to get creative. They need a back up center. They need a reliable back up PG. They need scoring off the bench. MPJs contract is a burden.

The MPJ contract is an issue. I was willing to give it a shot when he first signed because it looked like he would develop into a max guy but his ceiling is Tobias Harris.

I dont foresee them staying healthy next season...their starting 5 has ALOT OF MILEAGE. Just like the warriors team after 3-4 years of deep runs they all started getting hurt. They def need a shakeup. I would dump MPJ and talk to Sacramento about getting Malik Monk who is only 26 and some other players there who are 3D

What the Nuggets need is this: first they need a defensive rebounder (a Ban Adebayo type). The Joker needs rebounding help. They have been using MPJ and Gordon for that. But rebounding is a utility skill for them. Nuggets need a true defensive rebounder. Second: They need an offensive/high scoring spark plug off of the bench. Here’s the irony. They gotta get rid of Reggie Jackson. I like him but being brutally honest, he is not the answer as a backup point guard. And he has the lowest shooting percentage on the team. He gotta go! The irony is that he was acquired by a trade for Bones Hyland. Hyland was drafted by the Nuggets one spot ahead of Cam Thomas! Who now on the Nets… being high scoring offensive spark plug for them! Could you imagine if the Nuggets had Cam Thomas coming off of the bench?!? But that’s the other thing they need. A player like Cam coming off of the bench. They’ve gotta sign Murray! You simply can’t bring in someone else who would replace what he does. There’s going to have be a lot of crucial studying over MPJ, Gordon, and KCP. I would think you have to keep one of them (long term). And who do you bring in that makes the team better if you let go one or two of them.

If they wanna keep continuing to compete in the west add a couple bench guys and have everybody take less to keep this thing moving forward

I'm just disappointed to see Jokic's prime being wasted. The Nuggets will not win another championship with Jamal Murray as the #2 player (he's massively overrated) and MPJ on the team. The competition is way too tough. Get Jokic some genuine help.

They are a very good team, but they were never a lock this year in my eyes, and they weren't because of their awful bench. Tough to also say, but they really did have a somewhat easy path last year, and the Heat making the Finals was a fluke. Jokic is all time, but they need more to keep competing.

Nuggets need to re-sign Pope. I fully expect Colin Gillespie to replace Reggie Jackson as the backup point guard, and it will be an improvement. Pickett should just be released- not good enough to play in this league. Strawther is a question mark. Some still think there is hope for him but he may be a bust, too. They recently extended Nnaji, but still need to draft or trade for a big this year. If they pick another guard or wing, I will throw my remote through the television screen.

Go get Bruce Brown & Jeff Green back OR get some depth for your bench.

The Nuggets need to add more athleticism to their starting line up. They are below par athletically at 4 of the 5 starting positions. Although Jokic, the least athletic of the 4, is the best player in the league.
