If my healthy, bright, sparkly child had her treasured hair lopped off, was withdrawn, scared, sad, had bruises, appeared malnourished & was oddly stuffing her face with food at a party then altogether unavailable red flags, bells & whistles would be going off. I’d be camping out outside her home making as much noise as possible. The more attention the better. If the cops were called….GREAT! Blind Freddy could see she was slowly dying. He appeared suitably distraught, in his finest garb, articulating eloquently. I’m sorry for his loss but too little too late mate. Aniya needed him to stand up for her in life, not his fancy turn & sorrowful performance at her trial or eulogy at her funeral. All show & no go. RIP beautiful Aniya…..she was let down by everyone in her life.💔💔💔

I’m telling you if you watch the whole trial, you are in for the worse stuff you ever have heard pertaining to a child. But if you watch those closing arguments and listen to how the prosecutor gives it those animals and their lawyers. Fact by fact straight no chaser. She has on a red suit. She’s one of the best that county has in my opinion. It’s like she speaks for the child beyond the grave. Showed WAY MORE EMOTION than the mother n step father put together. Smh.

Her father was fighting for Aniyah but the momster put a restraining order on him because apparently him calling CPS about the condition of his daughter he called CPS regularly and the female dog stopped him from seeing Aniyah after those calls daycares were calling her family and Aniyah father

I agree. You can clearly see in the mother’s interrogation when she decided to blame him. Came off as very dishonest, the way she kept repeating the same thing as if she was practicing the lie. As soon as they told her that “her dude” told them Aniyah wasn’t alive in the bath, that was the moment she decided to pin it on him. Also, she kept saying “I could’ve stopped it” as if she’s looking for sympathy.

I also believe the mom was the only one abusing her and was the one that killed the her but she is not the only on responsible at the end of the day. He had to have known what Sierra was doing. Maybe he didn’t know at the beginning since he was working but he has been out of work for 2 months and even said he didn’t leave the house much. At this point he had to have know what was going on in his own home he shared with them. The simple fact that he did not report what was going on, he could have prevented harm and the demise of the baby if he would have just did the right thing! Yes, both knew Aniya needed medical attention. They had to notice something was horribly wrong after Aniya suffered a stroke caused by a blow to her head weeks before her death in March 2018.

I always interpret this as an indication that the victim was likely slipping into a deeper coma and progressing from lethargy to complete loss of consciousness, and eventually, death. The abuser either doesn’t recognize this progression or does and is alarmed/in denial and attempts to come up with a simple “home remedy” to avoid having to call 911. The bath is supposed to wake up the victim (and, it doesn’t, of course.) I assume the abusers share these details because they think it makes them look like ordinary, good parents taking care of their kids (since giving kids baths is something all good parents do routinely when taking care of young kids.)

I work with MRDD this dude is not delayed he’s not even what I consider as being “highly functioning”.
