When this match happened: - Porto became UCL winner - Deportivo were title contenders in Spain - Milan and Man Utd were legit forces in Europe - CR7 was the rising star of Man Utd - Messi was the future of Barcelona - Arsenal were undefeated in EPL - Henry and Ronaldinho were the best players in the world - Real Madrid started to lose its star power - Man City and PSG were average teams - Money didnt guarantee UCL. Talent did.

milan was like real madrid or barcelona. we won the year before, we should have won that year, I won't spend words on what happened in 2005, in 2006 too semifinal stolen by barcelona, and 2007 we won again with the less strong team in all of these years.

As an Arsenal fan, as much as I loved the 03/04 season and the Invincibles, that year also felt like a missed opportunity. I wish we would’ve given a little more effort in the Champions League, with all the talent we had on that squad, it may have been our best chance to win it

it was a crazy CL season, within 24 hours the two or let's say the 3 strongest teams so far in this season have been eliminated against 3 totally underdogs, the comeback of deportivo is the most beautiful in the whole history of European football, because it is really unthinkable to score 4 goals agains one of the strongest defense lines in football history and even to not concede a goal against also a very impressive squad. Hats off Deportivo,i hope we could see them soon participate in champions league, every football fan has adorable memories with this club.

Very late to the comment, but it will be a LONG time before we see Deportivo in CL again. We might never even see them in La Liga again. The last I heard, they were in danger of being relegated to the 5th division, and only 4 teams out of 100 are promoted to La Liga 2nd division. It's a battle zone, and I don't think they will ever make it again.

@@Nish.05 you are wrong, I'm from La Coruña (The city of Deportivo) and we are playing the play off to get promoted to the second division and our youth team has won the spanish cup against Real Madrid on the semifinals and against Barcelona on the final and they played the youth champions league last year so I Hope we have a great future!

The worst match of Milan during their 2003-2007 era. Conceding goals was normal but they didn’t seem to want to get goals and drowned. It’s also the last feat of this feared La Coruna team from the early 2000’s which clearly was capable of anything at that time.I will always remember how Juventus miraculously got through from the group stage in 2002/2003 with the last volley of Tudor...to beat La Coruna.I still don’t understand how they got eliminated by Porto in semis. Anyway Milan had probably the best individuals and all at their top that year but probably too confident after the first leg. Dida can also be blamed very much,he was never good on his clinches in the air. Miss these times anyway ...

Superdepor lost because they couldnt consantrate in riazor against porto (except refrees mistake) and why they send Emerson why they send djalminha (2002) or irureta prefer valeron first squad valeron was creative but he wasnt a braveheart when things go bad he couldnt manage like djalma so djalma could play one more or two year even undisciplined why they send pandiani he played with heart and finisher like trezeguet head , has shot power with right and left legs squad renovation was wrong after 2003 after that every body get older depor played pressure like 98's manchester and played beautiful one pass one touch like 2003-2004 Arsenal and football show like brazilian national team football style totaly dead where they spend money ?

No they don't. They took 8 past Monaco and 4 past Milan. They didn't atack in Porto and expected Porto to play in counter atack in Riazor, but they dominated the game, from begining to end.

Coming up against a star studed AC Milan team, this team was something else, Fran, Valeron, Lique, Victor etc. The last golden generation of depotivo la coruna, such a shame that they are now in Spanish lower division. That was the time every club in the UCL got an equal chance of progressing to at leat the quarter finals before money came and rue the beautiful game. I doubt if depotivo will ever have a team like this ever again in history

This iteration of Milan is one of the best teams of all time. Just look at the Ballon d'or. Shevtjenko winning in 2004, 3rd in 1999 and 2000. Kaka winning in 2007. Maldini 3rd in 2003 And then we have Pirlo, Seedorf and Gattuso in midfield. And Deportivo came back against this team. What an achievement.

Match from 2nd leg in quarter final in UEFA champions league season 2003-2004. In the first leg Milan has won La Coruña for 4-1. The Tournament champion was Porto, winning monaco for 3-0.

I was watching this match at night in Asia at 3 am and when I saw the Pandiani goal I was thinking this is going to be a magical night. I opened beers after the Alberto Luque goal. That was season of underdogs in CL. Porto knocked Man United out in round of 16. Monaco knocked Real Madrid and Chelsea (already with Abramovic dough) out in 1/4 and semis. Deportivo knocked two Italian giants (Juve and Milan) out in 1/8 and 1/4. Crazy season. and Monaco also destroyed Deportivo 8-3 in group stages. They were, probably, most deserving CL winners as Mou's Porto had only United as their big scalp. They didnt beat Madrid in group either.

Mah, non penso sia stata una questione di umilta', sono state due situaizoni totalmente diverse, la partita contro il Depor fu persa perche la squadra non si reggeva in piedi, infatti rischiammo anche di perdere quello scudetto alla fine, quella contro il Liverpool fu solo una partita sfortunata, la parata di Dudek su Sheva ne fu l'emblema, pero' sono d'accordo con te, una delle due avremmo dovuto portarla a casa, eravamo la squadra piu forte al mondo

@@maurizioperego6592 il Deportivo alla fine meritò di passare il turno quindi non sto accampando nessuna scusa... però sai,se all'andata vinci per 4-1 e poi al ritorno perdi per 4-0 un po' ci rimani di merda.Il Deportivo era una bella squadra però non mi risulta che avesse poi vinto qualcosa...mentre il Milan in quei primi anni 2000 fino al 2007 un po' di titoli li conquistò,tra i quali 2 Champions in tre finali,due supercoppe europee,un mondiale per club... quindi quali scuse devo cercare.Ripeto: complimenti ancora al Deportivo per quel passaggio del turno.

I remember the commentator saying at 4-1 in the first leg "you just feel that Milan could get more goals if they wanted to", but even in that game they felt the tie was over & did their Italian thing. They never got out of first gear in this game, Deportivo got the momentum early on & destroyed them for the whole game. Oddly, as legendary as this Milan team was, they could bottle leads against inferior teams. They did it again against Liverpool in the CL final, & a few years later they very nearly bottled a 4-0 first leg lead against Arsenal (although most of these players were gone by then). I still don't understand it!

Incredibile !!!!!!! Ancora oggi stento a crederlo !!!!!! Sono milanista e ci metto dentro anche la sconfitta al ritorno di champions stagione 2004 con il deportivo la coruna secondo me da tifoso peggio del gol di brignoli e di altre cose citate nel video tipo gli addii dei calciatori perché quelli vanno e vengono!
