If you are a Kenyan and you know Kenya....you know this is just an illusion you will awake from after 10 years when so many bribes have been given and the project has been abandoned without producing anything at all. Our true national motto is not Harambee....it is Grab and Go - Forget and Move On.
We need leadership like Ibrahim traore....raw material should not leave the country.....manufacturing here and selling ready products will employ our youth and we will have good profits as a country...if you sell raw materials then individuals will become rich and the people of that area will continue to suffering.
That is good news. Let the government or county authorities control the resources by not allowing brokers, individual politicians, opportunists, including foreigners take advantage. Remember, where there is something precious, conflict may easily arise. It is the only way Kenya will benefit, and order will be maintained! 😊
This is going to end up like the oil discovery in Turkana. Nothing ever changes fir tye country and the common man. I lost hooe in our beloved country ever getting better. Yhe more i build my hope up tge worse it gets. Nilikuja choka
Before you celebrate, go to Goma DRC and see how miserable the people with the biggest Coltan deposits in the world are. As long as there is no good will from those in government and the big industry players, the owners of the resources will never benefit. The Turkana people have never seen the oil money and the one time they tried to go to the streets to ask for the share of the money, they got shot.
