We took the new Canon EOS 600D and shot some nice objects with a nice depth of field.
This test video was shot at 1920x1080 with 24p.
Lens: Canon 50mm f/1.8
Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4
Color corrected in Adobe After Effects CS4

@Mrtweeday It's not our camera but the 50mm f/1.8 lens costs about 100 Dollars.

Good lens and a low f.stop number (like F/1.8, in this case)

@darkolol Use a fast prime like the 50mm f1.8 and Open your aperture as much as you can or a zoom lens zoomed all the way etc..

@FenchelJanisch i looked up the lens on the cannon website cause i wanted to see what it looked like and how much it cost. its 100$? that video just looked way too awesome..

open lens to max. (f/1.8 is great), short distance and high focal length

@BetaProductionsTM thanks!!!! thats a huge help ! you have no idea how long i have been trying to do that ! unfortunately i cant afford anything else other than a kit lenses do you still reckon it could work? and also when it goes to focas when i play it back its very noisy in that of the sound

@darkolol Its the same as photography. Just lower the aperature.
