More Paddy Plundering.. . The Countries that got rich from Colonies and Empire should contribute to repairing the damage to those ex colonies...Ireland had no Empire or colonies.. We have our own immigration laws. This government needs to implement our laws not sign Irish people up to unknown costs and allow Brussels to decide for us... NO to the EU Migration pact... I watched the earlier debate on this issue in the Seanad: and like the Dail here, the Seanad was practically empty! Are most Senators and TD's just not interested in one of the most significant EU developments in recent times. This lack of interest from TDs & Senators is nothing less than an absolute contempt for the citizens they profess to represent.

It seems to appear, the incompetence by the government, 'asleep at the wheel' to date, regarding not applying the laws that were in place but not applied regarding immigration, might have been done on purpose..... to show that Ireland is unable to cope on it's own. The immigration pact has been in the pipeline for many years. Maybe the government goal was always to opt in. Shocking state of affairs.

The primary focus of those elected to represent the Irish people and Nation is to protect the Irish people and Nation! That is our one and only obligation. Nothing else requires our energies or resources! That is a fact!

Ireland belongs to the Irish people, that is the indigenous people of this Island not bloody Africans or Muslims. Ireland has no obligations to any other country or people other than themselves. This immigration pact is another step towards centralisation of power in Brussels and the denationalisation of all European countries. The decision to opt into this immigration pact needs to be put to the Irish people with a referendum, I am sure they will reject it.
