But they surely incur expenses as the result of their jobs, and their salaries are very much too small. Expenses should be published in the open and clear, enforceable rules need to be in place for obtaining expenses.

Who was the police force who said no rules were broken? They initially refused to even investigate him until they bowed to pressure. Okay, if Starmer is whiter than white as you seem to think, then why did he lie about who attended that gathering? Why did his deputy also lie numerous times if nothing improper took place? Why did the guy who delivered the takeaway also change his story about who he saw? The aim at the time was to destroy Johnson, so anything else would have been a distraction. Starmer being exposed as a hypocrite would not have been conducive. The simple fact you see no impropriety from Starmer means either you are a Labour voter, or just not very bright.
