John I sure wish you would come to Baldwin county Alabama. The court houses in Baldwin county tell you at the door no cell phones or recording devices are allowed at all. Fairhope Alabama courthouse would be the best one to go too.
Fascinating how the manager lady was so concerned with you capturing personal information on their computer monitors (that were facing the opposite direction) while her own employee had her phone propped up behind the counter and probably had a perfect shot of plenty of personal information. 🤔
@@Stratsiey - Logical, however there is employee policy that restricts how the information is handled (paper photocopies, digital scans, handwritten notes, photographs). *I only know this to be true in Ohio so it may not apply to where this occurred. Employees can only produce copies if there is a requested legal business reason for doing so. Employee personal cameras are not on the list of acceptable forms of media. This is why there are rules against employees using personal cameras while working. If the policy is the same in the state where this occurred, then the manager should have been more concerned with managing her employees than managing a person legally accessing public resources.

You answered your own question. The employees have a bad attitude because they have an incompetent supervisor who allows them to do as they please. She thinks she is there to dominate the public, not supervise those who work under her supervision.
What made this audit priceless was the double standards right before our eyes LIA can't record but at least 3 staff recording while clocked in and their supervisor right there was ok with it
They knew from the beginning that you were allowed to film, but decided to have a go anyway. They even tried to rile up members of the public against you.

There needs to be a way to reprimand and punish public employees who act this way, whether through suspension and unpaid leave or temporary removal of benefits.

It's increased since we started catering to everyone's feelings rather than telling them when they are wrong. Participation trophies. Kids started making medical decisions without having to tell parents and doctors helping them. Parents not telling kids NO. Discipline all but disappeared, or could get parents in trouble. Kids taking out student loans and not feeling any responsibility to pay it back. Integrity, Honesty, Honor Completely foreign concepts to many.

After watching most of your video's and many other Auditors. I have come to the conclusion that everyone that works for the public needs training in the Constitution. This needs to be reimplemented into schools at the youngest ages. Everyone would be much more pleasant to each other if they knew this. Thanks Sean, your one of the best, and respectable auditors out there.
Training does no good if there's no accountability. If there's no consequences for ignoring training then it's basically worthless. What we need is accountability AND more training.
At the very least, all public employees should have a basic understanding that they are PUBLIC employees and not PRIVATE employees and how there is indeed a huge different when it comes to people peacefully exercising their rights
You have to have an appointment to conduct official DMV/MVC business, ie...renew drivers license,register a vehicle, obtain a permit etc... You DON'T have to have an appointment to exercise your 1st Ammendment right in that facility. I like how they try that "do you have an appointment" line, as if that's the only way you have the right to be there. Keep fighting Sean. You are awesome.

The supervisor was worried about you recording computer screens, yet she allowed her employees to do exactly what she claimed to be afraid of. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

I've been to this specific DMV several times. Took my son for his learners permit test, and this exact deputy went "hands on" with me when I tried to take a photo of my son standing at the counter with his permit after he passed. Not at all surprised that he took liberties with you as well. Putnam County (like Westchester and Dutchess NY) is notoriously corrupt so I knew filing a complaint would've gone nowhere.
I hope you file a complaint on the deputy sheriff for impeding your movement to come in to the DMV and hopefully not only he gets reprimanded, but he gets educated

Thank you for everything you do! I do things like this on the regular. I, however, am WAY more aggressive than you are and get a police intervention every time. I never back down and have never been in hand cuffs. I'm a very large man with a very large brain as I let leo's know! Not once have they had the balls to cuff me. I've walked around my court house and my city hall, I've confronted cops on stops with other people, and filmed the dumbest places. I get approached, "talked to", and then left alone to conduct my business as I please EVERYTIME! Be assertive people! Do your homework and know your rights!
